Chic grand studio with full size kitchen and bathroom. Bedroom area which can be separated from the main room with sliding doors with double bed and make-up area with hair dryer for the ladies. Sofa in main room, with dining table for 4. Large built in wardrobe to house all your clothes. 2 wall cabinets for extra storage. New tv/dvd and selection of dvd's. Small loggia/storage area equipped with large clothes horse for easy drying of towels etc. Hallway. Spacious apartment only a few minutes walk from Mole Beach and super shops and restaurants on the Flanerie. Main marina only a few minutes walk away for a relaxing wine or coffee, or shop to your hearts content in the many small harbourside shops. Great clothes and shoes!

The Languedoc is renowned for its wine growing and certainly lives up to this. We have seen on a daily basis the love, care and attention the vines receive, and rightly so! Tres Grand et Excellente Studio!

We arrived in Beziers airport less than 48 hours after our daughter's wedding. Needless to say, we were looking for a relaxing and restorative trip for our 5 day holiday, having spent the past 3 months organising the wedding.

We are happy to say that is exactly what we got!

Nigel picked us up from the airport [and dropped us back] - he was friendly, helpful, informative and gave us a tour of both the apartment and the local flanerie a few seconds walk away, where there are 2 supermarkets, a boulangerie/patisserie plus many other shops and restaurants. [Just a note to remember: The supermarket's close between 1pm - 3pm, not sure if this is the same in high season also]. There is also a fresh fruit, vegetable and bread market every Friday and Sunday just at the entrance to Mole Beach which we used, as there wasn't an abundance of fruit and veg in the 2 supermarkets.

The apartment is equidistant to the harbour and the beach [both 3-5 minutes walk away] and would thoroughly recommend a round trip on Les Coches D'Eau [water car], to fully appreciate the marina and it's landmarks.

The apartment is the best stocked holiday let we have stayed in considering it's size. There was nothing we needed that wasn't easily found in one cupboard or another. We have stayed in large villa's with private pools which have been less well stocked.

All in all, it is an excellent base for those wanting a quiet, slow paced holiday without the need for a car. There was a bike hire place which we will make use of on our return to Cap D'agde to explore the area more fully. We rarely decide to make return trips to holiday destinations but this is now firmly top of our list!

Fantastic apartment

This apartment is in a perfect location for the port and also le mole and roquille beaches, the flanerie (which links the port and le mole beach) is 20 seconds from the apartment block and full of little shops. Although it is so close it is still a very quiet area. The apartment itself was perfect, every little thing we could think of was included and more! The communal swimming pool was never busy and was one of the nicest pools I've ever been to. Gil and Nigel couldn't have been more helpful, taking us from the airport straight to the door and showing us the amenities. Overall I would thoroughly recommend the apartment and the area for all types of people.

Absolutely brilliant

We had a brilliant time! The weather was very kind - we managed 2 days on the beach in October! we loved the local shops, the marina and the location. The owners had a lovely travel cot which we hired for our 1 year old and we were very comfortable in the apartment. The apartment is spacious and modern. As we have a family the separate kitchen with all it's facilities was perfect. We would love to visit again and use the on site pool, that mixed with the beach only a couple of minutes away would make for the perfect family holiday. Everything you need within walking distance and good bus routes to visit places further afield. We used beziers airport, which they picked us up from and it's only a short journey to the apartment. Definitely recommend whether for a couple or small family. The main double bed can be closed off with sliding doors making it like a separate room. There is also a double sofa bed in the main room. The modern bathroom is lovely and they provided all the towels, including beach towels, and linen which was great.

A Grand Studio

The property is very accurately described.....is exactly as it

says on the tin. This really is a Grand Studio....shut the bedroom

area off during the day and you still have a nice living space and

a completely separate kitchen. Nice hallway, bathroom and a small

balcony complete the scene. We were the first guests after a big

refurb.....complete with new air con, the whole place is furnished

and decorated to a very high standard. Beautiful grounds and

swimming pool to the rear of the property and the the Mole beach a

short stroll away as are the shops and restaurants in the

Flannery. A little further to the Marina area with all the shops

and restaurants that it has to offer. We had a great time,the

owners cannot do enough to ensure all is well......they enquired

after a couple of days if everything was ok, I suggested a bedside

light would be nice.....it was fixed the next day !! We are a

retired couple so did not test out the additional beds that are

are available to make the Apartment sleep 5. All in all a very

nice stay for us, the Apt has a lift so no accessibility problems.

We will return for a another holiday. Michael and Chrissie

Owner's Response: We are so pleased this lovely couple enjoyed the apartment, grounds and local area. Its true!! Our Mare Nostrum apartment is so near the beach, also small shops and restaurants. The marina, which they enjoyed so much, is a short walk away and I know they spent some time browsing and strolling along the promenade. Some super shops and stopping points for coffee, wine, beer or a snack or meal. The residence is of a high quality with the most well kept gardens, pool and tennis court. The pool is so clean, safe and sunny! We hope to see these super guests back again for another holiday.

Great Modern Flat

My girlfriend and I stayed in this flat mid August after visiting relatives nearby. From the start they were very accommodating, allowing us to stay for 4 days, rather than the minimum 5. Contact with them was easy and quick. When we arrived they met us, showed us around, how to access the pool, and gave us some directions and advice about the local area. They also offered to give us a lift back to the local airport (for a reasonable price) It was definitely the cheapest place in the surrounding area we found, yet in an excellent area (very short walk to the beach, harbour and right near (but not actually on) a busy shopping street. The flat itself was so much more than we were expecting - for once it's a property that looks significantly better in the flesh than in pictures online. Very well equipped, modern, clean and very nicely furnished. Couldn't recommend enough for 2 people. The pool area (that was only accessible by residents of the block of flats) was also really nice, a decent size, not too busy and in glorious sun for most of the day. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and would definitely recommend.

Owner's Response: What a super review! This lovely couple were only passing through and wanted a few nights, but great that they had time to enjoy the apartment and local area. The location is really good, just a short walk from everything on the Cap. Beach, marina, shops, cafes and restaurants all on the doorstep but located on a quiet street. The gardens and full size pool at Mare Nostrum are exceptional and very relaxing, only accessed by private key fob. The weather was sunny, and we hope to welcome them back to the sunny South of France again.

Fab fab fab

Having stayed in the owners other apartment a while ago we liked the area so much we brought the family for a quick break to their latest apartment which is big enough for us all and has the most amazing pool. So clean and well kept our boys were entertained for hours in the lovely pool, also the beach is only minutes away which is also great fun.

This apartment is beautiful and has been renovated to a high spec. We loved the bedroom area which can be closed with sliding doors, very glam! Having children it was nice to have the separate kitchen and everything provided to do as much or as little cooking as you want.

Would recommend this apartment for a couple or family as so much to do in the area. My husband and I will be back to enjoy some meals out in the marina area.

From the Owner

The Mare Nostrum apartment is located in a quiet residence but very central for all there is to see and do in Cap d'Agde. Between the main marina and the sea, there is lots to offer here, from relaxed cafes and bars to lovely restaurants and small clothes and shoe shops. Just a few minutes walk to the beach, and not far from other beaches too. A very well maintained pool is on the residence, open May to September, only used by residents of Mare Nostrum.

Nearest airport is Beziers Vias/Cap d'Agde, only 10 minute drive. Once at the apartment you don't need a car as all amenitites are a short walk away. Bus service is near too for visits to local towns.

This apartment is in a super location for so many reasons. So near the beach, so near great restaurants and shops. There are many typically "French" and very beautiful towns and villages a short distance from the apartment. Sete, Serignan, Marseillan, Bessan, Pezenas to name a few. Their traditional architecture is something to marvel. The larger towns and cities are well worth a visit, Carcassone, Montpellier, Beziers. There are a variety of activities available, Golf, Aqualand, all the water sports you could imagine, and of course lazing on one of several beaches! Lots to do for children, Mole beach a short walk from the apartment is a favourite. The Isle de Loisirs has an abundance of rides and kiddy treats, also animal parks and aquariums.
