Modern home from home

Just got back from a weeks stay at the property and was very impressed with it. Very modern and homely with everything we needed. The house was very clean and located in an ideal area in the suburb of Alcombe on the outskirts of Minehead. There are also a few shops in Alcombe including Co-op and all the regular takeaways.

The property is about five minutes drive away or ten to ffteen minutes walk, from Minehead sea front and town centre, also there are Tesco and Morrison's supermarkets just two or three minutes drive away. Lidl's will shortly be opening near by as well.

In previous years when the kids were younger we stayed at Butlins or in a flat in town and this was a quiet holiday for the two of us although our kids (grown up now) came to visit for a couple of days. There was plenty of room to park two cars off road and plenty of room in the property to accommodate.

Unfortunately the weather wasn't great but this along with no kids wanting the beach (Minehead has a lovely beach) encouraged us to travel more and we made two trips to Taunton where you will find all the big high street stores and to Ilfracombe / Lynmouth along the coast.

The property is about 15 minutes walk from the picturesque medieval village of Dunster with it's little cobbled streets, gift shops and castle surrounded by the Exmoor hills.

The house has a lovely garden and there was a garden table and four chairs in the garage however due to the weather we didn't sit outside.

I could certainly recommend the property to anyone looking for a private and quiet base to use and we will certainly consider it again when we next visit Minehead.
