Part of a Characterful 1930's Bungalow With Secluded Courtyard Garden

Overview

Property

Updated: 27-Nov-2016
Studio in St Agnes, Cornwall, England - Just Under 2 Miles From The Coastal Path And Beaches

Four Winds Studio is part of a characterful 1930's bungalow, situated in Goonbell and is within walking distance of St. Agnes village with its thriving community, range of independent shops and a good selection of eating establishments; from pubs to tearooms, restaurants to takeaways.

Being just over a mile from the South West coastal path and St Agnes Beacon, ( designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a World Heritage Site). the area is a walkers' delight who are ' wowed' by the spectacular, dramatic coastline and stunning views.

For beach lovers and surfers, the studio is approximately 2 miles from Trevaunance Cove, Chapel Porth, and Porthtowan, while the famed surfing beach of Perranporth but 4 miles away.

The city of Truro with all its major shops and banks, a museum, Cathedral, galleries, and parks is 8 miles distant and well worth a visit. In season, boat trips run down the delightful river Fal, stopping off at Trelissick gardens, on its way to Falmouth.

There are many fine National Trust properties and gardens in the area, while The Eden Project and St Ives with its thriving 'artists colony' are a 30 minute drive.

Probably one of the loveliest times to visit is Spring (late April and May) when all hedgerows are full wild flowers and Cornwall is not at its busiest.

Cosy, comfy relaxed holiday

  • 3 of 5

I felt very comfortable in the studio, it was comfortable, cosy, clean and a quaint place to see.

Just on the outskirts of St Agnes it was easy enough to nip into the village for the shops or pubs but also easy enough to be on the A30 to visit other areas. The owners made me feel very welcome, they were very quick and efficient when I needed some help. I was reluctant to leave and would visit again which I believe speaks for itself. 😊

We really enjoyed staying at Hughs and Angelas place. They gave us a warm welcome, we had anything we needed in the apartment. And everything functioned very well. Thank you for a lovely week. We would surely recommend the place.

1st class, couldn't fault it.

  • 5 of 5

Although we didn't have a lot of contact with the owners, they were an ideal couple to rent from. They clearly wanted to make sure that we enjoyed our stay at Four Winds, and they succeeded, it was tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and so so cosy, we couldn't have wished for anything better. It was ideally situated in as much as we were able to explore most of Cornwall in the time that we were there. We had a very nice meal at the Miners Arms which is a short drive away but really we were quite happy to return to base after a day out and make our meal, the kitchen was very well equipped and had it been a tad warmer there was a nice little garden where we would have been quite happy to eat. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Very cosy and lovely cottage

  • 5 of 5

I stayed in the cottage with a friend for one week and we really loved it there!

Hugh and Angela were very friendly and welcoming and we even had fresh milk and some local sweets when we arrived.

The cottage looks exactly as we expected from the pictures and was really cosy. It has a friendly, bright atmosphere. Everything was clean and the size is perfect for two people. You will find everything you'll need to cook in the kitchen, which leads directly to the terrace. We had our breakfast there every morning, surrounded by flowers.

Four Winds studio is the perfect place to relax since it is suited in a quiet area, but not too quiet, you can reach to the centre of St. Agnes in a few minutes.

So we were really sorry we had to leave after the week and we'd like very much like to return again.

Thank you, Hugh and Angela!

We are so pleased that you enjoyed the cottage so much and would be delighted to see you both back again one year.
