This thoughtfully restored Station building with its high ceilings & elegant French doors is a wonderful opportunity to experience a piece of French railway history. Its industrial past has long faded & in its stead is a charmingly rural property in one of the most popular areas on the edge of the Dordogne. The rails have been removed & replaced with a terrace overlooking a garden of fruit trees. Entrance to the property is off the road connecting Eymet and Miramont de Guyenne. After passing a neighbouring property the driveway sweeps around to the front of the house & tall double glazed French doors lead into the Hallway. From the hallway a staircase rises to the first floor where there are 2 double bedrooms all with charming “Bateau” beds and a 3rd bedroom furnished with twin beds. One of the double bedrooms is accessed either through the twin bedded room or the other double bedded rooms. The magnificent bathroom has a WC, sink & bath with shower over. There is also a separate WC. Downstairs the light & elegant living room, furnished in keeping with the period of the building, has a high ceiling & tall glazed doors opening out onto the terrace at the rear, where there is a table & 8 chairs protected by the original glazed platform roof. There is a circular dining table which can be extended to seat 8 & in the adjacent dining room, a table & chairs which will comfortably seat 6. There is a wood burning insert in the dining room & a stone fireplace constructed with the original stones from the platform in the living room. A fitted kitchen with gas hob, electric oven, fridge, microwave & dishwasher also leads out onto a covered terrace. A few steps away from this terrace is another small building which shelters a large built in bbq & cooking area with adjacent sink. Inside this building is another larger sink, a freezer & a washing machine. Accessed through the end of the old waiting room building is the fenced pool & the owners invite guests to pick fruit from the abundant fruit trees in the garden. English free view TV & internet are available. Linen is included in the price of this property.

We stayed in August and found the property outstanding.

Great facilities and location, We found the photos on the website actually do not do the property justice , We had a brilliant time and enjoyed the pool and table tennis.
