Dalilea Bungalow and Caravans are situated in the West Highlands of Scotland, set amidst spectacular scenery in a quiet and idyllic rural location. They are set in approximately 2.5 acres of natural oak woodland combined with landscaped gardens, bounded by a 6ft high deer fence. From an elevated position, beautiful views are enjoyed to Ben Resipole and Loch Shiel. The Bungalow: Dalilea Bungalow is a modern three bedroom bungalow with a new kitchen and bathroom recently installed. The house is very well-equipped and has double glazing and central heating throughout. Accommodation includes: Hall, Scenic Lounge, Dining Room, Three Bedrooms, Bath/Shower Room, Bedroom 1 - One Double Bed, Bedroom 2 - One, Double Bed, Bedroom 3 - Bunk Beds with one double on bottom and single on top. The property sleeps 6-7 people. The facilities include: Ample Parking. Freeview TV + DVD, Electric Hob and Double Oven, Microwave, Fridge/Freezer, Washing Machine with Drying Facilities, Iron and Ironing Board, CD/Radio, All electric included in price, Lettings are available all year round, Normally Saturday (4.00pm) to Saturday (10.30am). The Caravans. There are two static Caravans on site with the use of 2.5 acres of grounds. Each caravan sleeps 6 people with: 1 x Double End Bedroom, 1 x Twin Bedroom. The caravans are fully equipped and all electric is free. Facilities include: Lounge with Gas Fire, Freeview TV and DVD. Fully equipped Kitchen with full-size Gas Cooker, Oven, Fridge etc. CORGI Certified. Constant Hot and Cold Water. Shower Room with Wash Basin and Flush Toilet. About Christine Gregson

Hi! I am Christine Gregson and together with my husband, George, we own and run two self-catering cottages and two static caravans. In 1990 we purchased Seagull Cottage in Seahouses, a converted fisherman's cottage just a stone's throw from the harbour where one can obtain one of the most iconic views in Northumberland - Bamburgh Castle. There are miles of beautiful sandy beaches nearby but we are well located for shops, restaurants etc. Nine years ago we also purchased Dalilea Bungalow, Acharacle, Argyll in Ardnamurchan, after falling in love with the area and its breathtaking scenery. We own 2.5 acres and have installed 2x 30ft. caravans for our guests, many of whom are repeat bookers. Indeed, our own children and their families love the area where they delight in many outdoor sports.

Why Christine Gregson chose Fort William & Lochaber

The area is renowned for its unique splendour and is one of the most unspoilt regions in the Highlands, from the rugged mountains to one of the many beautiful beaches and coves abundant in the area.

Because of this and its remoteness we were instantly attracted to the area. It is however within a reasonable commute of Fort William and Mallaig where one can take the Ferry to The Isle of Skye. During the season the well-known Harry Potter "Hogwart's Express" runs from Fort William to Mallaig.

What makes this mobile home unique

There is an abundance of wildlife in the area, namely red deer, eagles, seals, otters, indeed, there is a resident pine marten in the garden shed. Fishing is also very popular with the jetty at Loch Shiel only a mile away where canoes and kayaks can be launched.

Although Dalilea is private, it is a short distance (4 miles) from the village of Acharacle where there is a shop, bakehouse, Post Office/Cafe and two restaurant/hotels serving delicious home-cooked food.

Dalilea has three units - one bungalow and two 30 ft. caravans which are fully equipped and have their own privacy. It also has the potential to cater for up to 18 people if taken as a whole for groups of family or friends. The grounds amount to 2.5 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens and sunart oak woodlands.

Notes on accommodation: Bed linen, towels and tea towels are also included in the price. The gates, both at the front and the back of the house MUST be kept closed at all times. Bin collection day is Wednesday. I would be most grateful if the bins could be taken down the drive and put on the grass verge outside the garden fence on a Tuesday night and brought up again on Wednesday or Thursday depending on the actual collection day. Key collection to be arranged via Mrs. C. M. Gregson. There is a washing line and wheelie bin for use by Caravan tenants at the side of the concrete sectional garage.

A functional and well located base

An extremely functional and well located base for exploring this part of Scotland. We have stayed at this location twice and would recommend it to anyone wanting to visit the area.

The tearoom by the Post Office in Acharacle is very friendly and helpful, with excellent cakes, and has wifi.
