A rare opportunity to rent a fully south facing property of this quality in this area of Frigiliana; featuring both mountainous and sea views. This immaculately restored traditional style Spanish apartment strikes the right balance between traditional style and modern day comforts. Featuring a well equipped kitchen, 2 bedrooms 1 ensuite and 1 with the bathroom next door, a large sitting room, WIFI to keep in touch with the world if you chose to and a wonderful terrace with sea views leading to the private swimming pool. This 2 bedroom apartment is in the lower part of a country house built in a traditional rural style in 1995. It is set in beautiful countryside in its own grounds and is surrounded by olive groves and avocado trees this apartment captures the best of the Spanish climate and amenities. The backdrop to the apartment is of the mountains of the Parque Naturel Sierra Tejedas, Almijara y Alhama and the stunning views to the front are of the surrounding countryside and down to the sea. The apartment is reached down a 70 metre track from the metalled road and is accessible for taxis as well as cars. There is parking available for 2 cars. The covered terrace allows for al fresco eating and this leads to a large open terrace with BBQ. Through a gate is the private pool. All these areas are for the sole use of the apartment. The nearest country bar restaurant is El Cerro about a 10 minute stroll away. The white village of Frigiliana, which is said to be the most beautiful in Andalucia is 2km away and therefore within walking distance either along the road or back tracks. Frigiliana has many restaurants and shops as well as banks and a local bus can take you from there to the coastal town of Nerja about 8km further on. Nerja is a fishing town, which still retains its original charm although sympathetically developed over the years. Nerja has many restaurants, shops and supermarkets (one is on the way to it from Frigiliana) and is famous for its Balcon de Europa jutting out into the sea, its caves and its various beaches. The Sierra Alimijas natural park which borders the rear of the apartment is renowned for its walking trails and you will find companies in Frigiliana and Nerja which cater for walkers, horse riders, ATV riders and other adventure activities. The apartment is also ideally situated as a centre for exploring other areas of Andalucia, being under an hour from Malaga, 1 1/2 hours from Granada, 2 1/2 hours from Cordoba, 2 3/4 hours from Seville and 1 1/2 hours from the Alpujarras.

Notes on accommodation: Sumptuously refurbished the apartment represents a labour of love and hard work to create a wonderful space with a traditional Spanish feel whilst offering a relaxing and comfortable environment in which to enjoy rural Spain. The accommodation is flexible and spacious so whilst the bedrooms sleep 4, a child's day bed is available in the sitting room and a cot is available upon request enabling this Finca to sleep 6 with ease if required. The equipment in the kitchen is also geared for 6 people. The covered terrace makes it ideal for eating al fresco, especially during the summer months. The B B Q on the terrace will be a popular focal point in the summer months and will be hard to resist the combination of scenery and outdoor cooking. The accommodation is strictly no smoking. WIFI is provided. No pets please. Outside: Private natural garden, additional outdoor terrace, BBQ, gated swimming pool approx 3 metres x 3.80m and 2 - 3 metres deep (no shallow end but tiled stairway) 4 loungers, 1 umbrella, shower by pool, parking for 2 cars. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The apartment is cleaned prior to your arrival, with access at any time of day or night thanks to the number coded key store. A welcome pack is provided. Towels, including beach/pool are provided and along with the linen will be washed once a week. Other: Adjacent to the kitchen accessed from the kitchen and Bedroom 2 is the picturesque covered terrace with table and chairs for 6, lighting and retractable washing line and pegs. There is also access from here to the private swimming pool through the gate.

Beautiful apartment

We had a lovely week in this beautifully decorated apartment. The views are stunning and it has all you could need for a comfortable stay, including a very well equipped kitchen, books, games etc.

Everything was very clean and well maintained, including the pool.

The area is lovely - in easy reach of sightseeing trips to Malaga, Granada etc.

If hiring a car, go for something with enough power to get up the steep slopes around the apartment as the small engine we had really struggled.

Beautiful setting

The property is beautifully furnished with lots of personal touches and quality fittings. The views are stunning and can be enjoyed from various areas around the property. Frigiliana is a lovely little village with great places to eat and drink. A car is recommended, although it is walkable in around 25 mins downhill and taxis are readily available for the return journey! Thank-you for a great stay. Mr & Mrs Harrison.

Not enough superlatives to do this justice!! A++++

Perfect location, stunning accommodation, beautifully renovated and provides everything you could wish for to make your stay memorable, enjoyable and, quite simply, amazing.

We stayed as a three; two adults and a 3 year old. This was our first venture outside of the usual hotel type experience and it now has us hooked. It was home from home and gave all of us (but especially mammy and daddy) the relaxation we needed whilst the little one had her own room, space to play and, of course, a fantastic pool.

The facilities (not to mention the cool beer and wine waiting for us on arrival) are a credit to the owners - they need do nothing more to this villa to make it any more suitable or perfect for those like us who wanted to get away from it all and enjoy some luxury - quiet luxury at that.

Thank you introducing us to your villa and we will undoubtedly be back again.

Shame it was just one week!

We (two retired couples) had a wonderful stay here. The apartment is in a perfect location, spotlessly clean and equipped to an extremely high standard. It is equipped with everything you can think of, and more.

We appreciated the welcome supplies, which we replaced where possible. A car is needed for access to beautiful Frigiliana with its many restaurants, but the Bar/Restaurant Cerro is within walking distance for most people.

Sitting by the pool with the fabulous views beyond we could have been in a film set! The pool was unheated but I went in several times and I am a wimp!!

A beautiful appartment with sensational views

We enjoyed 11 days here in May/June 2015. The apartment is very spacious and furnished and equipped to a high standard. The beds were very comfortable, and the bedding and towels were of a good quality. The kitchen has an excellent range of equipment, and plenty of it. A full size cot and highchair were provided for our granddaughter, much appreciated.

The location is very private, while being only a few minutes drive into Frigiliana, where there are plenty of good restaurants, our favourite being La Taberna dela Sacristan in Plaza de Iglesias.

The views from the terrace are sensational, and can't really be appreciated in a photograph, we spent all our time there!

Little extra touches such as the provision of a welcome pack and pool towels were very useful.

A really excellent apartment, which I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Fabulous views

My husband and I stayed at the apartment for 7 nights. We have been lucky enough to travel quite a bit and have stayed in some lovely places, I would rank this apartment amongst the best of the best. From the second we walked in we felt like we were at home, usually we have a settling in period but not this time! Everything you could possibly need is there, the owners have paid close attention to detail and its the little things that make a difference such as providing a cool bag for you to use when collecting your shopping and the vintage binoculars to make the most of the spectacular view really are a special touch. The location is good if you want peace and quiet and privacy whilst not being too far away from civilisation, Frigilana is 5 mins in the car and Nerja is around 15/20 mins drive. We went to Nerja most evenings for a stroll and meal, there are plenty of little bars and restaurants where you can sit and people watch. The owner, Jonathan, was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish, what a gentleman. We could not recommend this villa highly enough, if its between this and another book this, I promise you will not go wrong.

The apartment is 15 - 20 minutes drive to the main beach in Nerja. However, there are many beaches within close proximity to this. All are family friendly and with a number of facilities, such as cafes and toilets. Please contact us for more precise information if required.


Malaga airport is 55 minutes by private car. It is also possible via public facilities in a slightly longer time or alternatively via taxi directly if preferred.

The apartment is approximately 10 hours by car from the Northern ports of Spain (traffic dependent!!) Please contact us for more information if this is something that you are considering.


5 minutes to Frigiliana

15 - 20 minutes to Nerja

25 minutes to Nerja caves

1 1/2 hours from Granada (and airport if required)

2 1/2 hours from Cordoba,

2 3/4 hours from Seville and

1 1/2 hours from the Alpujarras.

Public facilities to most of the destinations are available if preferred

The apartment is a 5 minute drive into Frigiliana, where there are a number of facilities here - such as shops, banks, cafes, restaurants and a public swimming pool. There is also a local market on Thursdays.

Taking the road to Nerja from Frigiliana there are a number of supermarkets along the road and in particular in Nerja; which is 15 minutes from the apartment.

The apartment borders the Natural park of Parque Naturel Sierra Tejedas, Almijara y Alhama; so you are directly able to access stunning walking, biking and riding facilities. Please contact us if you require further information.
