Charming 3 bedroom town house in old Carces, Cotignac area, Provence.

Located in the old quarter of the medieval village Carcès, is this 300 years old charming ‘maison du village’ fully renovated with a garden and a small private pool. The house is the perfect site for enjoying a perfect holiday in the heart of Provence. The village, of 2.500 inhabitants, is situated very close to lively Cotignac and Entrecasteaux and the fine beaches of La Londe and Hyeres are only 45 minutes away.

About Kirsten and Palle Munster

My wife and I have lived in France about 9 years after having travelled in France for many years.

We are now retired and enjoy the sun and the beautiful weather together with our little dog, Duchesse. We fell in love with the area and decided to buy a second house in the old part of Carces.

Why Kirsten and Palle Munster chose Carcès

We bought this 300 year-old townhouse which is situated in the outskirts of Carces with a wonderful view of the countryside and the mountains.

The house is just outside one of the medieval town gates

but still within easy walking distance of the town centre with its cafes, restaurants and shops.

Coast/Beach:

1 hours driving to the Mediterranean beaches.

Travel:

Closest airport is Nice Airport which is 1 hour 20 minutes away.

Distances:

Entrecasteaux and Cotignac are 15 minutes away by car.

The larger town of Brignoles is 20 minutes away by car.

Further Details:

Carces is a small, charming village with many shops and a large supermarket (Intermarché).

The wine cooperative is very esteemed and the wine is extremely good and at a reasonable price.

Notes on accommodation: The house has room for 6 people. Children's cot can be provided on request. Outside: There is a small garden with open wood terrace and private round swimming pool of 3.5 meter. Utility Room: Washing machine, vacuum cleaner, mop, broom and dustpan, various cleaning articles and dishcloths. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bedlinen (sheets and pillowcases) are supplied as well as hand towels. The house is cleaned by owners at the end of the lease period. Other: The living area gives access to the veranda with a leather couch, table and 4 lounge chairs and offering a splendid view of the country side. From the veranda there is access to the garden and an outdoor wooden terrace with garden furniture

Superbe location

Nous avons passés un très bon séjour dans la maison de Kirsten et Palle.

La maison est superbe, conforme à la description, calme et dispose de tout le confort nécessaire (et même plus). La piscine est également très agréable.

Excellent mixture of medieval town with fresh air and nature

We had an almost three weeks-long stay at the home of Kirsten and Palle, in the old fortified town of Carces but nearby the typical French countryside. We got everything we expected form this house that resulted to be, as expected, an excellent starting point to visit the historic places of Avignon and surroundings, the luxury beaches of Azur Coast and, especially, the nearby natural forests, rivers and lakes of the pre-Alpes.

The house is very well equipped. Especially its kitchen, prepared for French cuisine lovers.

Carces offers all modern services required, including a good supermarket if you dislike the weekly traditional foires.

Owner's Response: The party of two very nice couples stayed in our house for three weeks in September/October. They were very fine people and clearly enjoyed their stay in Carces. We enjoyed having them and can highly recommend the party to any future landlords.

Au cœur de la Provence verte

Charmante maison bien agencée et très agréable à 2 pas des commerces. Carces est une petite ville où il fait bon vivre, beaucoup d activités autour, de belles cascades, de beaux paysages dont les Georges du Verdon. La piscine en fin de journée est appréciable, nos 2 semaines sont passées très vite. Kirsten et Palle nous ont très bien accueillis, ils sont adorables.
