Atlantic House in Perranporth, Cornwall, England - Spacious Accommodation Arranged Over Three Floors With Amazing Sea And Dune Views From Most Rooms.

Spacious accommodation arranged over three floors with amazing sea and dune views from most rooms. Entrance from the large decked area at the front into the hall. Lounge: A large double lounge, with ample comfortable sofas and chairs and a wood-burner for cosy evenings. A large flat screen TV is provided with Sky including Sky Sports plus an additional smaller TV. Sliding doors in the middle of the room mean that two lounges can easily be created if required - perfect to put the kids in front of a film while the adults relax with a glass of wine! Both living rooms have wooden floors and feature fireplaces. Kitchen/dining room: The dining area has a table and chairs for 12 people and enjoys the same fantastic sea and beach views as the lounge. A door leads to the outside decking area at the front. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a new electric range style cooker, American-style fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, and microwave. Stairs lead to the first floor which has 3 bedrooms and the family bathroom. Bedroom 1: A large master bedroom with double bed and walk in wardrobe. This room has two large windows which look directly out across the beach, sea and dunes. Bedroom 2: Twin beds with furniture, enjoying excellent views. Bedroom 3: Full size bunk beds. Bathroom 1: A large family bathroom newly refurbished with modern bath, washbasin, WC and a large separate shower. Stairs lead to 3 further bedrooms with sea and beach views on the second floor. Bedroom 4: Twin beds with furniture. Bedroom 5: Double bed with new en-suite shower, wash-basin & WC. Bedroom 6: Bunk beds with wash-basin in the room. Bathroom 3: A new shower room, with shower cubicle, wash-basin and WC. Please note that Atlantic House is currently undergoing renovation, to be completed Spring 2014. Outside: To the front of the property is a large, glass fronted, decked area with table and chairs for 12 people and enjoying the same beach, sea and sand dune views as the rooms inside. There is a sheltered and private rear patio off the kitchen ideal for enjoying the last of the evening sun, with table and chairs for 6 people. Parking is at the front of the house for 2 cars. Further parking if necessary is just a few yards away in either the pay and display Droskyn car park or the Beachfront car park. Please be aware that the access to the house from the parking bay is via a set of steep steps, so may be unsuitable for those with limited mobility.

Spacious but so, so damp

Heating works well, plenty of room, great sea views, very, very close to village centre; all good stuff. However, beds are uncomfortable, duvets way too thin, decking (there's lots of it out front) is incredibly slippery and the kitchen and sitting room are riddled with damp, so much so that paint is bubbling off the walls. A cheek to rent this place out really.

Owner's Response: Many thanks for the positive comments you have made, and we are very sorry to hear that you experienced certain issues during your stay at Atlantic House. Work was carried out to the exterior of the property's kitchen wall in the Spring, to prevent the property becoming damp. The result of this work has meant that for a time the interior paint will blister. We apologise that the wall was not repainted before your arrival, however we can assure you that the property is not damp as precautions have been taken to prevent this. We take every measure to ensure our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay and are disappointed to hear that the duvets were too thin. If we are informed of any issues then we do our utmost to rectify them as soon as possible, and had we known, we could have brought additional duvets and blankets to you. With regards to the decking, we are aware that the decking can get very slippery and this is why there is a sign displayed warning of this. We are very sorry that you were not completely happy with your stay, and hope that you still enjoyed your time here.
