Fantastic house, very clean, had everything we needed. Lovely to be able to walk in to town. Alora is a very nice town, lots of bars to choose from De Knas is a great place for tapas.

Thank you Richard for picking us up and dropping us off at the train station. We will be back. Jane and Nigel.

We are a couple from France who came over for a week to climb in El Chorro (Fantastic) The house is very clean and well equipped. Sharon and Richard are very helpful.

Alora is a very nice town. We shall be back.

June 2014. Thank you Sharon and Richard, we had a great week discovering Alora and the surrounding country side. El chorro and the Ardales lakes are stunning. The Alora train is cheap and reliable.

The house is clean and very well equipped. Thank you for the welcome pack.

Beautiful, contemporary and well equipped with everything one could possibly need. A real gem!

  • 5 of 5

My partner and I were informed of Owners Direct by a friend and to be honest we were expecting the sort of property we had in mind to be well out of our price range...not the case with this little beauty. The town house is bursting with charm and the sun terrace was a real bonus to watch the sun rise and set across Alora.

Sharon and Richard could not have been more helpful, they suggested places to visit and the pick up from the station was very thoughtful.

Alora has plenty of amenities and we were able to find everything we wanted when out shopping - the lingo was a little challenging at times as the Spanish we were attempting was somewhat different to the local accent - although the locals found this humorous and we all had a giggle with the staff after trying to retrieve some postcards we had left behind in a restaurant.

Transport - I am so glad we didn't hire a car, Spanish trains are amazing and on time (to the second), buses are regular and prices are cheap all round - just be mindful on Sundays and if you are wanting to visit El Chorro there is only 1 bus there and back (you are also required to take your passport if you are wanting to complete the walk - this was not mentioned in the leaflet we had).

Overall we had a fantastic time, we relaxed, we explored and dined very cheaply. I would highly recommend this property. We found Alora to be everything we'd hoped for, a charming, peaceful and friendly place and one we will definitely be returning to.

Many thanks to Sharon and Richard for making our first trip to Spain a happy one 😊򒠠see you again soon!

Charming character town house in ideal location

  • 5 of 5

This lovely townhouse is exactly as depicted in the photos - beautifully presented, comfortable and well appointed. We used it as a base from which to climb at El Chorro, Frontales and other local crags. Being situated on the outer edge of the old town, access to the house is simple, but shops and bars are within easy walking distance too. Sharon and Richard could not have been more helpful - they were on hand to welcome us on arrival, provided useful recommendations about local amenities and restaurants, and helped us sort out a potentially holiday spoiling situation. Thank you!! Highly recommended.

Experience a taste of real Spain!

  • 5 of 5

If you want a well appointed, comfortable and quiet base to explore the area surrounding Alora and wider Andalusia then this lovely town house could be the place for you. Also if you want the opportunity to combine your stay and experience living down a secluded valley only about 4 kilometres from the centre of Alora, why not consider, like we did, spending time at the delightful bed and breakfast accommodation, Casa Alcuna, also owned by Sharon and Richard. My wife and I recently spent 6 nights in a lovely and very tastefully modernised, clean and well maintained town house situated on a very quiet street within short walking distance of all amenities in Alora including restuarants, shops and bars. It is also within easy access of the local railway station with the opportunity to travel to Malaga and other areas of interest in Andalusia. We also took the opportunity to combine our stay and experience the authentic local life of owners Sharon and Richard at their wonderful bed and breakfast, recently constructed casita, situated in a peaceful area surrounded by fruit trees and olive groves. We loved relaxing by the swimming pool and walking in the area. When we were there at the end of April, spring flowers provided a riot of colour and if you like bird life then you'll see this at every turn. Even the uncommon Bonellis Eagle inhabits the valley and we went to sleep every night to the song of a Nightingale. Sharon and Richard the owners of both the town house and the bed and breakfast could not have been more helpful and welcoming from providing our breakfast at Casa Alcuna, including orange juice from freshly picked oranges to advice on lots of local places of interest to visit.

Wonderful week

  • 5 of 5

Just home from enjoying a wonderful week in Alora, staying at this beautiful townhouse which is tastefully decorated in a rustic Spanish style, but has all the facilities to make your stay comfortable.

You get to know the real Spain away from the tourist areas, yet a bus takes you to the train station were you can explore the rest of the region.

The owners Richard and Sharon are fantastic hosts, so friendly, warm and willing to go that extra mile to make your stay a memorable one.

We have all become good friends and will certainly be going back again.
