About the Owner

I am a stay-at-home mum with two young children, a dog and some ducks. My husband and I converted the hayloft of the old listed Coach House building within our grounds into self catering accommodation in 2013 and we love welcoming visitors to come and stay. Before life got busy with children (and animals) my husband and I travelled around the world, working while we travelled as qualified sailing instructors. On our return to the UK we worked in London for 12 years, eventually returning home to Scotland in 2013.

'What a little gem of a place. Only sorry we couldn't stay longer. We will be back! I and J, Ireland (June, 2014)

'It was a perfect stay in a perfect house. The place is brand new, clean, with a lot of space and a lot of light. The neighborhood is lovely, very green and very quiet. Susan and her family are great hosts, they left food in the fridge for our first morning and were there if we needed anything during our stay.

We would recommend this place without hesitation to anyone.' E & J, France (May, 2014)

'Susan and the family couldn't have been better hosts. The Coach House is a wonderful property in the lovely seaside town of Helensburgh. I think we were the first guests to stay in the newly renovated Coach House and our visit couldn't have been better. We will be back to stay soon!' W & J, England (April 2014)

Great property,great hosts.

  • 5 of 5

The property is beautiful, decorated to a very high standard and is equipped with everything that you could need for your stay.

Susan and Fergus are very welcoming and are always on hand or contactable should you have any queries.

The location is great as a base for exploring the west coast or for a 10 minute stroll down to the waterfront or to the many nice bars and restaurants in Helensburgh.

A nice touch is the welcome pack of milk, bread butter and if you're lucky something lovely for breakfast,I'll say no more but get some bacon, sausage and beans to go with it!

I cannot recommend The Coachouse highly enough and will definitely return.

We had a wonderful few days at this beautiful property. The apartment is immaculate and has been decorated to a very high standard throughout. Susan, the owner, was most welcoming and helpful and the welcome pack was very much appreciated. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property.

Perfect stay!

Lovely accommodation, tucked away on a quiet road in a very nice part of Helensborough. The ideal getaway! The little touches, such as the fresh duck eggs which come direct from the back garden really make this stand out from the crowd. We'll be back!

Wonderful

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay here in early September. Everything was very clean and modern, with everything you might need in terms of the kitchen, bathroom, etc. There were even some complimentary duck eggs for us to have during our stay! Thanks to Susan for letting us have such a great time, she is an extremely friendly and lovely host.

We were particularly lucky with the weather, and this was a great base for visiting Loch Lomond and the surrounding area, whether you are into hiking, biking or just eating and drinking (as we mostly did)! Overall we had a wonderful time, and would thoroughly recommend the Coach House to others.
