Fantastic cottage in peaceful location

  • 5 of 5

A large group of friends stayed in this property for a week over the Easter break and we had a fantastic time.

Prior to the trip the communication with the owner was efficient and helpful and we had no problems finding the place. On arrival the cottage was spotlessly clean (everywhere!) and the owners very kindly left us a hamper full of goodies which was a lovely touch.

The whole house was very well equipped with all the essentials including things like toilet roll, hand soap, washing up liquid etc which you don't alway find in self catering cottages. The kitchen was full of every utensil and cooking appliance you could want and had plenty of tea towels and cutlery/crockery etc... again great for us as we cooked for 10 adults most nights!

The rooms were huge (especially the two ensuite rooms) and the beds were comfy with lovely sheets. The open fire place in the lounge was lovely in the evenings and plenty of room for us all to spread out in the lounge.

The area is beautiful and it was a lovely walk down to the lake or a short walk into town where there were several pubs and shops to enjoy.

All in all a fabulous stay in a great cottage; we would highly recommend...literally can't fault anything.

And even after the initial shock, we all got used to having no wifi...a welcome break from modern day life.

Thanks :-)
