Buvicchia 3 consists of an old farmhouse with three bedrooms that sleeps up to 7 people, and a converted Barn with one bedroom that sleeps 2. It has beautiful views to the Apuan Alps and the Appennines. It's comfortable but simple and rural - the perfect place for a quiet getaway and close to the lively old walled town of Barga which has good restaurants, live music, markets and a pool. The house has a wisteria-shaded terrace and a large partly terraced garden including olive trees and fruit trees.

La Capanna is an old Tuscan Barn, restored in 2004, with an open-plan bedroom upstairs with lovely south and west-facing views. Downstairs is an open-plan kitchen and sitting area with working fireplace. The property is 2km from Barga, about 45 minutes' drive from Lucca and about 90 minutes' drive from Pisa airport.

The Tuscan riviera (Viareggio and surrounding towns) is about an hour's drive.
The property is about 90 minutes' drive from Pisa airport. Use of a car is strongly recommended; although it's possible to be at the property without a car, it's a two-kilometre (scenic) walk into town. The nearest railway stations (Barga Gallicano/Fornaci di Barga on the Lucca-Aulla line) are a taxi ride away.
The property is 2km outside the old walled town of Barga. Lucca is 45 minutes' drive; Pisa and Florence 90 minutes' drive.
Barga has all necessary facilities including a supermarket, a number of good restaurants, internet access, a tourist office, bars, music venues and local festivals (such as the food-based 'sagre' events). The town's Duomo is in a spectacular position. Barga has an opera festival and a jazz festival in the summer months. The property does not currently have fixed internet access but there is good reception for roaming broadband.
- Booking Notes:
Booking is via a form signed and sent by post along with a deposit payment. Rent payment is at least 8 weeks in advance of your stay. Keys are sent by post in advance of your stay. The deposit is fully returnable on receipt of the keys and our agent's report.
There is no specific changeover day. There is a 1-week minimum charge for stays; extra days are charged pro rata. Arrival is usually from 5pm and departure before 10 am.
Notes on prices:
A refundable booking/damage deposit of £120 (Barn)/£150(farmhouse) must be paid. No contract will exist until we have received this sum & the signed booking form, & have confirmed your booking. The rent must be paid at least 8 weeks before departure.
If you wish to cancel your booking you should do so at least 8 weeks in advance. Any rent paid (except deposit) will be refunded. No rent refunds for cancellations less than 8 weeks in advance. Cancellations must be received in writing by us.

- Notes on accommodation: The Barn has a large double bed. The farmhouse has two rooms with double beds. One of these rooms is accessed via a third bedroom with three single beds. Outside: The house and barn stand on a property of c.2 acres, The Barn has a shaded west-facing terrace, a south-facing terrace and a north-facing terrace off the bedroom. The farmhouse has a large west-facing terrace with a shady pergola. Barbecue facilities are available. There is a large, partly terraced garden.
