About the property

Barn conversion near East Sussex coast.

Shepherds Cottage is a lovely 18th century single story barn which has just been transformed into a romantic hideaway. It sits in a courtyard setting that is part of working stables. We are located on the fringe of the village which has two pubs that both serve food, and are within walking distance. The village has a farm shop, butcher and post office. The property features exposed beams and many retained period features, as well as a wood burning stove luxury shower room and fully fitted kitchen

Guestbook comments from the owner

We have had such a lovely weekend away for my birthday celebrations! Beautiful weather and long walks through the countryside, Pett Level, Winchelsea and Rye Harbour nature reserve. Shepherds Cottage was a lovely homely place to stay - the milk and wine were a perfect touch on arrival! Thank you for everything. We will definitely be back! Happy Xmas!

Beautiful spot. Beautiful accommodation.

Just had two nights here and this little barn conversion was ideal. Lovely welcome with lots of thoughtful touches, such as lots of flowers throughout. Great shower and we had everything we needed in the kitchen and lounge area, however storage space for clothes would have been a little tight had we been staying for a week.

Lovely quiet spot though and Joanne was very welcoming and friendly.
