The Court is a pretty Cornish cottage renovated to offer guest accommodation for up to five. There are three bedrooms, a double, a twin and a small single and a family bathroom. The quiet village of Probus lies just 6 miles east of the county town of Truro, which boasts Cornwall's only cathedral; great shopping from a range of independent shops; twice weekly farmers' markets; a variety of restaurants; a cinema and great theatre at 'The Hall for Cornwall'. The famous gardens of the Trewithen estate are located just on the edge of the village, with the romantic 'Lost Gardens of Heligan' approximately 25mins away and The Eden Project only ten minutes further.

I live in Probus with my partner about half a mile from 2 The Court where I run a little B&B called Spring Cottage.

We bought 2 The Court in 2007 and after an extensive refurbishment have been letting it to holiday makers ever since!

Why Christopher Blurton chose Probus

We wanted an addition to our B&B business and a self catering cottage just half a mile from our home fitted the bill.

We chose to live in Probus for it's central location in Cornwall - with an easy drive to all that the county has to offer and we knew that guests would appreciate this convenience too!

What makes this cottage unique

Guest love the cosy Rayburn in the kitchen and wood- burner in the living room. It's a character cottage but with mod cons too!

We stayed here for 2 weeks whilst waiting to move into our own house which was still being built. 2, The Court really was 'home from home' for our family. It had everything we needed and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Many thanks.

A fantastic time was had by all during our stay at this cottage. The standard of cleanliness was amazing, and everything we needed was there. The cream tea that was provided for us upon arrival was most welcome after a 7 hour journey in traffic with 2boys! I would recommend this property to anyone, look forward to returning soon.



"Home from Home"



The accommodation is impeccably comfortable, clean and tidy. A private location, which for us, who prefer to avoid tourist areas yet like to have beaches, attractions and amenities within easy reach by car, is ideal.

Location

Coast/Beach:

The north and south Cornish coastlines are with easy driving distance from 2 The Court. The nearest beach is Pendower on the beautiful Roseland Peninsular approximately 20 minutes by car. For bigger waves and surfing, Perranporth is approximately 30 minutes drive on the north coast.

Travel:

Probus is on a good bus route to Truro and there is a bus stop close to the cottage. It is possible to see Cornwall by public transport, however, to get the most out of your holiday we would advise either bringing your own car or hiring one in Truro if coming by train, or at Newquay airport if you're flying here.

Distances:

Truro six miles, Eden project 15 miles, Lost Gardens of Heligan 10 miles, St Mawes 16 miles, Falmouth 16 miles, Lanhydrock House 22 miles, Newquay 13 miles, St Ives 30 miles, St Michaels Mount 32 miles, Padstow 24 miles.

Further Details:

A short walk from the cottage you'll find convenience shops, a pub, a cafe, a farm shop and an Indian restaurant. Truro, a short drive from the cottage has some excellent shops, restaurants, theatre, cinema and a beautiful cathedral.

Mixing old world charm with modern fit-out, the property was comfortable and warm.

We had a great stay in Cornwall particularly enjoying visits to Eden Project, St Michael's Mount and some walks along the coast including old mine workings.

Booking Notes:
A deposit equivalent to 30% of the tariff is required at to secure your booking. The remaining balance is due six weeks before your holiday.

2 The Court sleeps up to five guests maximum.

Changeover Day:
Change over day is Saturday between Easter and the end of October. In low season, Nov-March we offer short breaks and a flexible change over day.

Guests can arrive any time after 3pm. On departure day we ask that guest vacate by 10.30.

Notes on prices:
Prices range from £340 in low season to £725 in peek season
