Spacious well-equipped home in fantastic location

  • 5 of 5

It was hard to find fault with this property which comfortably accommodated 7 of us plus our dog. Very well equipped with comfortable beds and good quality furniture and appliances. Lots of interesting things which gave the property a unique and characterful feeling.

Parking immediately outside for one car in a reserved space worked well and we managed to park our second car just down the road at no cost. It helped that we didn't need to move our second car during the week so once we got the space, we kept it!

The hot tub was great and well used.

The number one feature of this property is its location. Literally a stone's throw from the cobbled walk at the bottom of Lymington high street which is a really nice street with a combination of superb independent shops along with many household names. There are numerous pubs and restaurants to choose from. Equally close is the quay and the Ship Inn, another great part of town. The New Forest proper is less than 10 minutes drive away. There are also coastal walks on the south edge of town, probably 10 minutes walk away.

Negatives (if you can call them that) were that the outside area is very compact and there is no grass, just a small paved area. Also, the view from the property is not particularly interesting, especially given the outstanding location.

The owner Sam, was very helpful and responds extremely quickly to any queries.

We would definitely come to the property again next time we visit the New Forest.

Fabulous house in a fabulous location

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely week's stay here in August. The house is beautiful and located a stones throw from Lymington High Street. Samantha was very helpful when we had a couple of queries.

We would love to return next year.

Many thanks

Beautiful, well-appointed cottage

Spent a very enjoyable week in this cottage in Lymington. Very well-appointed with luxury bedding. Only downside was finding parking for guests but that was soon sorted.

Location, location , location

  • 3 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay in Lymington. The property was as described & very well equipped & furnished to a high standard. The location is fantastic - just off the quay and High St. The hot tub was a great hit and enjoyed by young & old alike. The owner was very helpful, ensuring we had a high chair & checking everything was OK. We found the lack of outside space a slight disadvantage with young children. The oven is past its best, setting off the smoke alarm regularly and with no markings left on the controls it was hard to regulate. Other than that I would recommend this property, especially for families with older children and adults not planning to do a lot of cooking!

Does everything is says on the TIN

We had four (4) generations from 97 to 7 years old, 6 people in all and can honestly say had a really great time. The house was excellent, in a great location and for our first time in Lymington I don't think we could have chosen better.

If we were to do this area another time we would absolutely use this house again.
