Located in the small north coast surfing village of Porthtowan. Porthtowan has village store and Post Office, popular beach bar with outdoor seating, good affordable food and occasional live music, pubs, ice cream parlour, fish and chip shop etc. Porthtowan is only 5 minutes off the A30 at Chiverton Cross so is convenient for visiting many Cornish beaches and attractions. Midway between St. Ives and Newquay, Porthtowan is also close to the charming village of St Agnes where there are additional facilities. The cathedral county town of Truro is no more than twenty minutes drive away. In Truro you will find Hall for Cornwall theatre, cinema and a wide range of shops and restaurants and regular Farmers Markets.

Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bedlinen and bath towels included at beginning of the week. Beach towels not provided. Other: Private garden with furniture for sole use of guests. Peaceful garden backs onto fields. Own gated entrance to the annexe. Off-road parking space. One well-behaved dog welcome.

Beautiful cosy home

The annex was just a perfect little place for stay cosy and clean, couldn't have asked for more. Pat has ensured that there is everything available for the stay including milk, tea and biscuits, even a small treat for the dog on arrival. Beautiful little private garden to sit out with the dog. Very close to the beach and not far from good eateries. I will highly recommend this stay to anyone thinking of visiting cornwall around porthowan area. All in all it was a perfect holiday week for us at Cornwall!

quaint little annex with enclosed garden

It's well equipped clean & modern ideal spot for touring Cornwall. Suitable for dogs etc only downside is its a bit of a hike to the beach & local facilities

Perfect little haven " west wing"

The owners pat and Keith were warm and welcoming on our arrival . West wing was very well equipped, clean and tidy . Plenty of towels etc . Pat had also provided, tea , coffee , and other essentials required for SC . Small back private , quite garden which is great to sit out in after a being out all day .

There is a Ten minute walk down a pebbly uneven track to Porthtowan beach . Various eating places , shops , paid parking by the beach .

Great coastal path walks both west and east . West path to portrieth quite a challenge x3 very steep stepped ravines " not for the faint hearted . West wing is also very convenient for getting to other local areas , such as perranporth ( superb beach ) Falmouth and Truro , National trust property near Falmouth worth a visit .

Pat was the perfect hostess , I would certainly recommend this property .

In Porthtowan there is a village stores, off licence and newsagents with Post Office and free cash withdrawal. hairdressers, fish & chip shop, beach bar, pub, ice cream parlour, café ,beach shop, gift shop. In Towan Cross there is a traditional country pub The Victory which serves excellent food.

There is a Nisa store in Mount Hawke. Aldi, Sainsbury's, Tesco can be found in Truro. Tesco and a good variety of shops and banks in Redruth as well as a cinema.

The attractive large village of St. Agnes has Spa & Nisa stores 2 butchers, one of which sells fresh fish and a range of deli goods a good bakery which sells very nice pasties & cakes. greengrocers, several pubs and restaurants and a Barclays Bank. There is a swimming pool and a theatre and cinema in Truro. The famous Minack Theatre in Porthcurno is about is about an hour away.
