Good base to go exploring from

  • 3 of 5

The main downside to the accommodation was the double bed - unfortunately it was just too hard to sleep on for us so we didn't get a proper nights sleep. Other than that it was in a good and clean condition and just like the photos showed.

The actual Tolroy Manor resort is in need of refurbishment and updating and did get the impression that staff weren't too forthcoming or happy that we were in 'private' accommodation. The indoor swimming pool is not organised for lockers and was told they don't work anyway and the water was initially quite cold. Our son did enjoy it though, which is the important thing.

Having said all that, it was a good base to go exploring Cornwall so didn't bother us too much.

Pleasantly landscaped site

  • 3 of 5

The unit was well equipped and the children enjoyed the facilities of the park. There was a good variety of food in the restaurant and it was reasonably priced, which was a bonus.

Good facilities for the children

  • 3 of 5

We were using this holiday venue as a base for walking and it served the purpose well. The kitchen was very well equipped, the bathroom was nice although downstairs and all was clean and tidy. The soft seating was rather hard after sitting for a while and the beds we found to be very hard. The facilities on the site were great for kids and there was a very usefull shop. There was an element of racing for parking in the evening since there appeared to be quite a lot of people who live in the houses and come home from work in the early evening. At the weekend when everybody was home we had to find parking in another area on site and walk back to our place. Generally speaking it was not bad value for money though.

Easter weekend Hayle

  • 4 of 5

A compact, clean chalet that was just right for a week away for a family of 3. The kitchen was newly refurbished and had good quality equipment for cooking. The swimming pool and playground were a highlight of the holiday park, we spent most of the daytime at the stunning beaches North West Cornwall in renowned for. Patricia the owner was very knowledgeable about the area and gave us great directions. Great UK holiday and bargain price!

From the Owner

Originally we bought the place so all the family could come together once a year. everyone from little ones to grandparents. A place which combined a seaside trip plus a chance to enjoy nature, especially the foxgloves in June.
