On arrival we was meet by Corrinne who is wonderful, very helpful and very friendly. We has a great welcome pack so opened the wine included and enjoyed it very much :))) The cabin was spotless, warm and everything we needed, even the beds made and fresh towels.

Our neighbours ( the horses) were wonderful to wake up to especially at feed time.

The hot tub was pure heaven and really enjoyed it.......The whole weekend was amazing and we will be back x x

Highly recommended

A cosy rural idyll with outstanding views, yet close to amenities and attractions. Scrupulously clean and with the added bonus of two bathrooms. All the furniture, linen and equipment are brand new. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay; a dishwasher and a washing machine would have made it perfect.

Absolutely Stunning!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed whilst away with work (I hate hotels) and was blown away by the cabin and it's location. The cabin itself is very well equipped and very comfortable - and so peaceful. The views from it really are something else. Stunning countryside views (the photos are good but really don't do them justice!) and wonderful neighbours who are super friendly (the horses!). I'm back in the area next week and have already rebooked for my stay. I would definitely recommend.

Perfect Get-away.

  • 5 of 5

I booked the cabin over Valentine's weekend for a romantic getaway for the mrs and I.

Being a new establishment there was not a great deal of reviews to read prior to our trip, so I took a risk and went for it. We are so glad we did.

The whole stay was something else. I advised Corinne it was a romantic Valentine's thing and on arrival she had laid on Champagne and flowers.

As we settled in to the cabin we realised how magnificent a place it was. From every window there is just lush green countryside sprawled as far as the eye can see. Nearby heavy horses meander by without a care in the world.

If this place does not relax you. You have no hope ;)

My partner and I would 100% recommend this place to anyone considering it.

We will be returning as soon as possible and for as long as possible!

Excellent country cottage

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful cottage to stay in. We were met by Corrine and settled into this lovely log cabin. Corrine explained all that is available in the area and there is a lot to do. We are keen walkers and the adjoining countryside, from the door step, is excellent! The views from the cabin windows are a dream to wakeup too. Add to the views the Shire horses grazing on the farm just outside the lounge window, it's amazing.

We are from Portugal but were so comfortable and warm for our long weekend in March that we intend to return very soon.

I rate this cottage as the best one yet!

From the Owner

We live in a beautiful part of Derbyshire within 12 acres of land. It was always our plan to build a log cabin in the grounds. The cabin stands on its own across the fields and the views are breathtaking, great from the hot tub just located outside the cabin. It really is a getaway from all the crowds, surrounded by fields and heavy horses but not more than 5 minutes from shops if you need them.

Activity and Interests

Special interest holidays:

We also work our heavy horses and can arrange carriage trips, shire working days and much more. To be arranged on request.

Nearest village is approx. 2 miles away. Nearest pub is a 2 minute drive away. Local attractions start from a 5 minute drive away.

Further Details:

Our village is tucked away from the busy towns and cities but if you are wanting to shop or go to the bank we aren't far from all amenities. Within 5 minutes you can go to a shop, pub or local attraction by car. There are lots of local attractions around and about or alternatively if you wanted to get away from it all our cabin is your ideal retreat.
