Casa Veronica is a spacious, hillside retreat with stunning panoramic views of the ocean and surrounding countryside.

Sleeping up to 8 people, this large 4 bedroom villa has a beautiful garden and a private 8 x 4m pool. Enjoy the stunning views across the coastline from the secluded environs of the peaceful garden and pool.

The unspoilt eastern Algarve offers travelers an authentic taste of Portugal. Casa Veronica is well situated for you to enjoy fantastic weather, beautiful beaches, historic local towns and villages with their delicious regional cuisine.

The villa boasts a fabulous location. Only ten minutes drive to the nearest beach, twenty minutes from Faro airport.

Classified as a Natural Park in 1987, the Ria Formosa encompasses an area of about 18,000 hectares, and is protected from the sea by 5 barrier-islands and 2 peninsulas: the Peninsula of Ancão that the locals call island of Faro, the Barreta Island also known as Ilha Deserta, the Culatra Island (where the lighthouse of Santa Maria is located), the Island of Armona, the Island of Tavira, Cabanas Island and, finally, the Peninsula of Cacela.

The villa is fully furnished and has a extensively equipped kitchen with dishwasher, cooker, microwave, coffee machine, fridge/freezer. The villa has a TV, DVD player and free WIFI. Air conditioning units are included in each bedroom. For the winter months the house has under floor heating and a real log fire in the lounge area. The secluded patio and tiled roofed BBQ area provide outdoor dining opportunities.

fantastic villa

we stayed in this villa for 7 nights at the beggining of August. I cannot begin to tell you just how beautiful this villa is.

We came as a family of 5. We were met by the owner & his wife at the airport, who guided us back to the villa, following them. They went out of their way to be helpful, and even drove to a supermarket on the way to the villa, so we could pick up some essential items for our stay. The town of olhao is very close and had everything we needed, including a shopping centre, with go karting for the kids. The villa itself is up a dirt track, and though its quite rocky to get to, its also the last villa on the end of the road, so its very private. I would suggest hiring a car is essential. The villa has a magnificent view over the countryside & a view of the beach. There are 4 bedrooms, all very spacious, and 3 bathrooms. The villa is beautifully spacious and laid out, with a very large lounge area and a spacious kitchen and dining area. They have a smart tv with english telly, so when you are relaxing, you are able to curl up and watch it.

The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed, as well as a laundry room which we were able to use.

By far for us, the pool was the best bit, it is a lot larger than it looks in the pictures, and the whole family loved it. As an added bonus it has under pool lighting in the evenings. The villa has beautiful grounds surrounding it. The pictures on the site dont do it justice, it is perfect for a family, and the owners are so friendly and helpful, they really went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful stay.

Fuseta, with its wonderful beach, is only 5-6 kms away. There are other beaches close by and the stunning Falesia beach is 20 mins away.

There are ferry boats from Olhao, Cabanas and Tavira which take you to the wonderful unspoilt island beaches of Culatra, Armona, Farol and Island Deserta all within easy reach. Well worth a trip, fantastic golden sand.


The villa is only 20 mins from Faro airport and is accessed with very good roads. Please note car hire is essential. Please contact us directly for very competitive local car hire.

Having good access to the motorway opens up the whole of the Algarve and Spanish border (40 mins) for exploring. Lisbon is approx a 2 hours drive.


Within easy distance are Tavira (regarded as the loveliest town in the Algarve), Estoi (with its Rococo palace, and Roman ruins), Olhao (fishing port, markets and fine shopping) and Vila Real (16th century town on the Spanish border. Seville can be reached with 90 mins, Lisbon approx 2.5 hours and Cordoba 3 hours. Within 30 mins driving west one can access major central Algarve towns and attractions. The nearby Ria Formosa National Park offers excellent walks, extensive beaches and birdwatching.

Further Details:

The small town of Moncarapacho is less than 1 km away with supermarkets, pharmacy, bars, 3 excellent restaurants, petrol station, internet cafes, cash machines, museum. Moncarapacho is an authentic traditional rural Portugeuse village.

Eating out in this part of the world on wonderful local fish, meats and wine is still incredibly inexpensive. You will find it hard to spend more than 15 euros per night (per person), including local wine.
