Ten Tinners is a family owned and run, spacious, fully refurbished holiday home in a quiet cul-de-sac in New Polzeath. A 5 minute walk down a footpath leads to Polzeath beach and the village centre and joins up with the Southwest Coast Path. There is a large, sunny garden, perfect for families and dogs. With broadband, washing machine and tumble dryer, dishwasher and wine fridge, as well as a selection of children's toys, we aim to provide every essential for a relaxing, enjoyable holiday.

About Mark and Sophie Widdess

I live in Surrey with my husband, two young children and our two dogs. We all love Cornwall and spend as much time as we can in No 10. The children and dogs enjoy playing on the beach and splashing in the sea, then back to the house for some relaxing in the garden.

The house has been in the family for over 35 years, in 2013 we embarked upon a considerable renovation of the house. Having visited the house for many years we were able to design the space to fit our holiday needs. The large open plan feel of the property means everyone can be together without being on top of one another. It is a really sociable house and we love sharing it with family, friends and frequent visitors alike.

We love Polzeath for the great beaches in Polzeath itself and in the surrounding areas, there is a beach to suit everyone! Polzeath itself is really family friendly, and there is a wealth of activities on the doorstep. From visiting local fishing villages, such as Port Isaac, to exploring the Eden project and hunting out the numerous excellent restaurants and pubs, there is something to suit all tastes.

Padstow is a short ferry ride away and there are some great walks with fantastic scenery along the way.

What makes this bungalow unique

The peaceful, sunny garden is a real bonus and we love the home from home feel of the house. The toys, beach equipment as well as a selection of wetsuits that are kept at the house for everyone's use means any visitors can drive up and be ready to enjoy the holiday from day one.

Outside: Large driveway with plenty of car parking. Large garden with patio, garden furniture, barbeque and a Cabin for relaxing in the sun. There is also an outside shower for washing off sand and sea. Utility Room: Washing machine, condensing tumble dryer. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen and bath and hand towels are included, but beach towels are not. The property is checked and cleaned on departure. Towels and linen can be changed mid stay for holidays over 7 days.

What a Gem!

We had the best holiday staying here. Big reception room, kitchen, dinning space which was light and airy. Very clean and well maintained through out. Perfect for our family with grandparent and teenagers. We enjoyed BBQs in the garden and eating outside. The kitchen was superbly appointed. The beds very comfortable, lots of hot water - especially the outside shower! Its only five minutes from the beach so the kids were fine to walk down by themselves. We will certainly be back and would highly recommend this property to everyone!

Just Perfect!

We booked a last minute week away here in early November and couldn't have been happier. We love Polzeath and the surrounding area and staying here made it even more enjoyable.

The accommodation was exactly as described and was very clean, warm and comfortable. We particularly liked that it's obviously very well maintained and looked after, and that it has a nice open plan and sociable layout in the living space.

It's perfectly situated in a quiet cul de sac and just a short 5 minute walk away from the fantastic beach at Polzeath. It's also only 5 minutes from the South West Coast Path and the walk to Pentire Point over The Rumps.

We had everything we needed during our stay including a comfy bed, a well equipped kitchen and a nice big TV.

If you're looking for somewhere to stay with the family and a dog that offers comfort, convenience and all mod cons close to the centre of Polzeath I can definitely recommend that you put this place at the top of your list.

We were loathe to leave and will certainly be back soon.

Beautiful house

This place is lovely. Big and very clean, well laid out with lots of space to run around. A beautiful huge and secure garden with a lovely summer house. Well equipped with everything you could need and easy access to the beach. Very child friendly. The only minor point is that the TV could do with a booster as the signal is a bit weak, but who spends their holiday watching Tv anyway?! Definitely recommend it and we will be back. Love it here

Super Place

What a fab place. Beautifully clean. Close to the beach. Lovely garden. Great if you have a dog, as the main living area floors are tiled. Super hot water system. Great cooking facilities. And a separate beer/wine fridge. What more do you need? We cannot recommend more highly.

Special interest holidays:

There are Surf schools on the beach that cater for all ages, sailing and water ski-ing at nearby Rock. Coasteering, kayaking and other adventure sports in Polzeath. The Eden Project is a forty minute drive away and there are many well known National Trust houses, gardens and walks within easy reach.


5 minutes walking to Polzeath beach. There are also a large number of other beaches a pleasant walk or a short drive away.


Newquay airport and Bodmin Parkway train station are both half an hours drive away.


Polzeath village is a five minute walk, Wadebridge town centre is a fifteen minute drive away, and the larger towns of Newquay and Bodmin are both about 45 minutes away.

Further Details:

Polzeath village has a number of small shops for groceries, beach equipment and holiday knick-knacks as well as a small number of cafes, restaurants and pubs. There are a huge number of excellent restaurants and pubs in nearby villages as well as local art galleries. Padstow is a short ferry ride from neighbouring Rock. There is a public swimming pool in Wadebridge.
