Holiday Cottage in Coombe Valley Nr. Bude, Cornwall, Luxury Barn Conversion, Quiet Rural Setting On A Farm Near The Beach

‘The Dairy’ is an impressive and roomy luxury stone barn conversion on the edge of fabulous & well known Coombe Valley (a favourite with ramblers), 2 miles from Kilkhampton village and 5 miles from Bude, North Cornwall. A 2 mile walk via footpaths down through National Trust Coombe Valley to Duckpool beauty spot and beach, leading on to miles of coastal and beach walks - great for walkers. Nearby Bude is a beach resort with large classic sandy beaches, a huge free open air beach swimming pool and other attractions associated with a resort town. The cottage is in an attractive rural setting on a working farm. There is a large rear patio area with table and seating, also suitable for children to play in. Farm gardens. Farm play field with goal posts & swings. Approx 5 minutes stroll over to free fishing on the farm’s 2 ponds. One pond (approx 66 yards long) was restocked with coarse fish (tench, golden rudd & carp). Tench up to 3lbs and carp up to 10lbs. Fun fishing, with fish, but not envisaged for serious fishermen.

Bedroom 1 has 1 double bed & en-suite shower room with shower, washbasin & toilet & T.V. Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds. Bedroom 3 has 2 single beds. Also a bathroom with bath, overhead shower, toilet and washbasin. Large downstairs open plan area. The kitchen area has an electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine & dishwasher. The lounge/dining area has a widescreen T.V. & DVD.

Cot & High Chair. Linen inclusive. Electric inclusive. Heating is inclusive; easy to keep warm with wall mounted electric radiators in all rooms including bedrooms and also a feature woodburner electric fire in lounge area.

Adjacent off the road parking space for 3 cars. No pets.

Approx 5 minutes stroll over to free fishing on the farm’s pond. One pond (approx 66 yards long) was restocked with coarse fish (tench, golden rudd & carp). Tench up to 3lbs and carp up to 10lbs. Fun fishing (not for serious fishermen). The second pond dates back to mediaeval times and was originally a carp pond used by monks in the 12th century- featured on a TV programme. The pond is set aside as a nature sanctuary and migratory birds including ducks commonly make an appearance. The ponds are in a pretty, wooded setting, making a great venue for picnics, fishing, or just to enjoy the scenery. The more energetic may enjoy the walk across the adjacent field (with panoramic views over the countryside) along the footpath through the farm’s 13 acres of woodland. Adjacent off the road parking space for 3 cars. No pets. Bed linen supplied inclusive.

Quaint place with a lovely warm welcome

A lovely place to stay, friendly and the house has everything you would need- Duckpool beach, Bude, Tintagenel, were all good places to visit. Harlequins in Bude was a great place to have a family game of bowling.
