Apartment in Rock, Cornwall, England - Spacious Apartment Perfect For Families Or Groups, Walk To The Beach

4 Trelawney Court is a spacious ground floor apartment in a small development set back from the road. There are 3 bedrooms, two king size beds and a third with a set of bunk beds and a single bed. There is a main bathroom as well as an en suite for the master bedroom. There is a large open plan kitchen/ dining/ living room. Outside there is a courtyard garden area with a BBQ and patio furniture. It is perfectly situated for families to get to the beach (either at Porthilly or Rock) and enjoy all the activities (such as sailing, water skiing and kayaking) that Rock has to offer. Within a 5 minute drive of two of the Times Best Beaches 2014 (Epphaven and Padstow). For golfers, St Endoc Golf Course is a short walk away as is The Point at Polzeath. For surfers, Polzeath is just a short drive. For walkers and cyclists the coastal path is right on the doorstep as is the Camel Trail which you can access either from Padstow (via the pedestrian ferry) or Wadebridge. It is within walking distance of the wide range of shops and places to eat in Rock. The apartment is used as a family holiday home and so is well equipped for all ages.

About Heather Whittard-Jones

We are Heather, Will, Billy and Poppy and grandparents Mary and Andy. We have been taking holidays in north Cornwall for many years and it has long been our hope to own a property in the area. We have really tried to make 4 Trelawney a 'home from home', it is very well equipped and has lots to entertain the whole family. We find Trelawney very relaxing and peaceful and love being able to leave the car and walk to all that we need. We hope that you enjoy staying there as much as we do.

Trelawney Court provides easy access to local amenities and the array of beaches in the local area, yet it is peaceful being set back away from the road. The accommodation is flexible to suit families or groups and provides a good base for exploring the many delights of north Cornwall and beyond.

What makes this apartment unique

We love the ability to leave the car at home and walk to all that we need. We are spoilt for choice when it comes to beaches and can spend many a happy day with our young children just exploring the sand dunes and rock pools.

Notes on accommodation: Broadband/ Wifi available Trelawney is perfect for families. We have a young family ourselves so have made sure that it is safe for the little ones. Both local beaches are perfect for rock pooling, and building sand castles and can be accessed by a footpath that runs parallel to the road. There is also the most amazing play area just a few minutes walk away. Further afield you have the delights of the Camel trail that is suitable for all ages be it on foot, scooter or bike! Outside: Outside there is a sunny courtyard garden with a BBQ and garden furniture. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bedding can be provided. Bed linen and towels can be hired at a cost of £12 per person. Please bring your own beach towels All gas and electricity inc. Spacious, comfortable holiday home

Four adults and three children stayed here for a week at the height of the season.

The property is bright, clean and well equipped. Plenty of room for us all inside the apartment.

Kitchen equipment was ok, but a few larger cooking utensils, when cooking a meal for seven, would be useful.

The beds were very comfortable and the bedrooms quite spacious.

A little more outside space would have been appreciated, especially for the kids to play.

It is well positioned for local amenities, with several shops and a good pub close by.

We would recommend it, a quality place to stay.

Great modern and clean property.

Overall I was really pleased I chose to book this apartment. It was clean, well maintained with fairly new furnishings. There are a couple of shops and pubs nearby with a quiet little beach down the road. Also the communication from the owners was great and made the whole process really easy. Only downside we found was there wasn't a lot we could do without doing a fair bit of travelling as there is not a lot to do in Rock itself. Padstow and Wadebridge nearby are fairly nice but not enough to do for a full day out with kids. There are also a lot of highly priced bistro's around the area which we avoided and went to some of the more moderately priced pubs which were ok but not great.

Great apartment in a great location

We had a lovely week at Trelawney Court. It is a very spacious, light and smart apartment, located perfectly for trips to Rock, Padstow, Polzeath, Daymar Bay and beyond.

It had everything we needed for our 4 and 1 year old boys including a high chair, plastic plates/cutlery/cups, toys, dvd's.

The kitchen is a 'home away from home' with all the things you need and a lovely deli, bakery, fishmonger and butcher are all within walking distance.

absolutely beautiful

Wow!!!!! What can we say. Your home is so beautiful and really did feel like home. Our three girls (5,7,10 yrs) did not want to leave. We visited so many different places regardless of the weather.

Great apartment with everything you need

Lovely clean bright spacious three bedroomed apartment. Well equipped, homely, lovely sunny courtyard in the mornings for breakfast. Only downfall all feather bedding so had to dash out and buy a duvet and pillows due to feather allergy.

There are a huge range of beautiful sandy beaches close by offering something for everyone. Also sailing, water skiing, canoeing, wind surfing, fishing etc. are on the doorstep. There is a water-ski school in Rock as well as sailing, fishing and bird watching. There are a range of boat trips available from Padstow. Polzeath is an excellent surfing beach and is a 5 minute drive from Rock. There are many famous restaurants in the area including Rick Stein's in Padstow, Jamie Oliver's Fifteen Restaurant at Watergate Bay and Nathan Outlaw's restaurant at the St Endoc Hotel in Rock. The Black Tor ferry operates between Rock and Padstow and there is also a water taxi available in the evenings during peak season.

The Point at Polzeath is under 1 mile away and offers golf and club house along with a fitness suite, swimming pool (sauna, jacuzzi, steam room) and a beauty room offering a variety of treatments. Daily/ weekly/ monthly/ annual memberships are available.
