There are various species of coarse fish, with the lake being periodically restocked. Upon buying the farm the owners were surprised to find that the lake had been populated with coarse fish and a few small trout quite naturally- the coarse fish probably from the feet of migratory birds such as storks which visit the lake occasionally. During the summer, the lane down to the lake and its surroundings are a delightful profusion of wild flowers.
