Villa in Begur, Costa Brava - Close to Beaches, Restaurants, Cafes, Bars & Shops

Holiday Villa Begur is our home but since we are expats we can't always enjoy it, so we offer it for short-term holiday rental for the periods we are not there. It is a spacious and modern vacation house less than five minutes walk from the central plaza of the stunning medieval village of Begur. It enjoys stunning views of the village and of the Mediterranean. It was built to a high standard in 2005, with everything you would expect from a luxury modern holiday home. Having walking access to the town completely changes how you enjoy Begur. You don't have to use the car to get to town - in five minutes you can walk to the central plaza as well as all of the restaurants, cafes, bars and shops. Your car is only necessary for trips to the surrounding areas, including of course the famous Costa Brava beaches. You can also go places by walking or bicycling along the the beautiful inland and coastal tracks that hug the wild coastline. The house is incredibly spacious and intelligently designed. The entry level upstairs contains the garage and all the living areas and the level below contains the sleeping rooms, all of which access the private garden which leads to the pool (shared with three other houses). There is a big terrace for outdoor dining - as with the whole of the indoor living area, it also benefits from the incredible views to the village and the sea. At night the lights of Begur and it's medieval castle light up, making a spectacular backdrop as you sit and relax. The shared garden and pool also enjoys the wonderful views. The first thing you see as you enter the house upstairs are the impressive views. On this level you find the built-in garage as well as the kitchen, dining area, salon, toilet and dining terraza. Downstairs you access the four bedrooms and laundry room with washing machine, dryer & ironing table. There is air conditioning and central heating throughout the home plus Internet access, WiFi and Sat TV. A barbecue is included.

Sensible and controlled development has preserved its status and its famous coastline with its medieval villages, all of which offer a treasure trove of experiences for a wide variety of interests.

Our house is one of the very few large and modern houses which you can honestly say is in the centre of the village, a 5 minutes' walk to the central plaza. We can walk into the town. This completely changes how you experience a town such as Begur.

Unlike the other beach side towns in the region, Begur has a large permanent population making it worth visiting any month of the year. It offers a truly genuine experience whenever you visit.

And because it is in the town, you never feel isolated or insecure. There's always someone to help!

Notes on accommodation: Groups of youngsters (average age below or equal to 25) are not allowed in this holiday residence. Children are welcome but pets are not. Outside: A private garden leads to the communal garden with its swimming pool shared with three other houses. The terrace has an outdoor table and six dining chairs. A barbecue is available. Laundry: Washing machine, drying machine, ironing table and iron. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are provided, but not beach towels. Cleaning of the villa at the end of the booking is an additional obligatory charge (210 EUR + VAT). Cleaning can be arranged more frequently if required.

Perfect location, impeccable amenities.......First Class!

Over the years we have rented many properties in numerous countries, this property and location takes the top spot. The location couldn't be better, easy walking distance down to the centre of the charming village of Begur (uphill to return) with numerous shops, restaurants and cafés. The property is well equipped and has everything you need and very quiet and private. From the terrace and lounge the panoramic views of the sea and Begur castle are amazing, exactly as seen in the pictures. As in most European towns and villages, parking is at a premium so it was a bonus to be able to use the integral garage. All the sleeping accommodation is on the lower level with en-suite facilities in two of the bedrooms, and a third bathroom with walk-in shower. The beds were very comfortable with plentiful supply of bedding and new towels. Additionally, a small utility room with washer and dryer is located on the lower level. The kitchen is spacious and extremely well equipped with microwave, large oven, electric induction hob, coffee machine (Nespresso), kettle and dish-washer. We appreciated the supply of basic household items available to us on arrival. Unfortunately, we were not able to use the pool due to some unusually inclement weather during our stay, but were able to easily visit many of the surrounding picturesque villages. The provided umbrellas came in useful, thank you. During the booking process and subsequent questions, Richard (the owner) was always very responsive. If you are looking for a property that has it all, that is much better than the average then you will not be disappointed.

Beautiful villa,with amazing views.furnished and equipped to a very high standard. Short walk into the heart of begur where there was plenty of restaurants and bars to sit out and watch the world go by .The coast line was stunning And plenty of beautiful old towns to visit .a 5 star holiday destination.

A fabulous villa in the heart of Begur

The excellently appointed villa was an ideal place for us to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary with our family. The location with its views of the castle, the town and the sea is spectacular. We loved the open-plan layout, eating out on the terrace and generally relaxing and having fun in the pool.

Stunning villa, great layout, perfect for families with lots of storage and lovely bathrooms and kitchen. Customer service was excellent, walking distance to great restaurants and shops and well-stocked supermarkets. Fantastic view, big, clean pool which the kids loved. wonderful holiday, beautiful home - gorgeous Begur

We visited Begur in June 2015. The villa was as described on the website. Well furnished, lots of space and an easy walking distance to town centre with ample choices for food and wine. We stayed for one week and loved the local feel and loved the beaches. The view each night from the balcony was spectacular and a special memory for our family.

A really nice surprise

We had been to Begur and knew that we wanted to go back. We were lucky enough to find this beautiful house, perfectly maintained and furnished with a lot of taste. Ideally located, dominating Begur, with stunning views and so close to the city center ! Not to mention the swimming pool, the easy access to all facilities, the quietness of the area.

The house is really well designed and has all the necessary equipment (and more !) to spend really enjoyable holidays and to discover the various beaches around and to enjoy Catalan food.

We can only recommend this place.

The charming medieval town of Begur with its cobbled streets and pretty town square provides most needs, such as doctors, pharmacy, supermarkets, banks, bakery, fishmonger, butchers, a traditional outdoor market with local foods as well as a fine selection of bars, restaurants and boutiques.

This a very unspoiled region, with no high rise flats or mass tourism. There are many leisure activities close to hand, including diving, snorkelling, horse riding, golf, hiking and mountain biking. There are many historic villages and towns close by which are well worth visiting, as are the three Dali museums close-by.

The local region is well known for its fine food, wines and other specialty produce and the many superb restaurants close by reflect this.

The beaches Aiguablava, Aiguafreda, Fornells, Illa Roja, Platja Fonda, Platja del Raco, Sa Riera and Sa Tuna are uniquely beautiful coves that make up the Begur coastline: these are mostly tiny beaches with crystal clear waters, surrounded by splendid vegetation and cliffs which give the region its name (the wild coast) yet most beaches have easy access and are excellently serviced.

Due to the popularity of the area, Begur has easy access to very thorough tourist information about places and events happening nearby, especially in the summer months.
