Harlyn Bay is renowned for safe bathing and good surfing conditions with golden sands, rock pools to explore and wonderful cliff top walks along the coastal path in both directions - especially beautiful in spring and early summer when fringed with wild flowers. Over the years Yellow Sands has welcomed back many families and couples for their annual summer and seasonal breaks. We hope to welcome you here sometime too! Padstow is only 3 miles away. Built around a cove on the River Camel Estuary it has grown over centuries into a picturesque fishing harbour town with lots to tell in terms of history and custom. The apartment, situated on the first floor, with a balcony facing the sea with table and chairs. A large lounge with Ercoll furniture, TV/ DVD and CD. The kitchen/diner is well equipped with dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge freezer, microwave, oven/hob and all the utensils you would wish for. A double bedroom with sea views, king size double bed and en-suite. A twin single bedroom and family bathroom. There is also a garden with tables, chairs and sun loungers.

Thoroughly cleaned by ourselves. We have a no smoking policy.

“Wonderful accommodation in a fantastic location”

We have just returned from our second two week stay and would just like to say how much we have enjoyed our stays here and have already booked for four weeks next year. Debbie and Martin do a fantastic job of looking after the apartments, which are spotless, and fully equipped to a very high standard with everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The gardens are tended regularly by Martin ensuring that you have a lovely outside garden area with sun loungers etc to relax on. Nothing is too much trouble for them ensuring you have everything you need. The Apartment we stayed in has the most fantastic view of Harlyn Bay from nearly every room, wished we could take this view home with us. The wonderful Harlyn Bay beach is just a five minute walk away down a private lane and from there you are able to walk to some of the other Bays. We would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending these Apartments to our friends.

Excellent apartment

The apartment was spacious, clean and very comfortable with open views. The owner met us on arrival and gave full information of facilities and the area in general. The local pub is very convenient for meals. The beach is beautiful and a very short walk away. I would recommend staying here but come equipped as there are no local food shops until the next village.

Yellow Sands Harlyn Bay, Cornwall-Sharmalyn House

We found the property presented in a very clean and tidy state. This property offers tremendous space for extended family to spend time together. The listing was accurate, the house offered everything we expected and more. It was very well equipped with dishwasher and utility room. The downstairs shower off utility room was ideal for a shower after returning from beach.

The bedrooms are generous and en-suite and bathroom facilities plentiful.

Available wIfi and bed linen were welcome additions. Customer service from booking to leaving first class. I would recommend this property, it is located in an excellent location in quiet area with stunning sea views and a wonderful rural sheltered terrace overlooking fields. Short walk to wonderful surfing beach with life guard. Padstow 5 mins by car. Took an enjoyable sea fishing trip and a must is a speed boat ride from the harbour in the camel Estuary.

I will certainly be booking a return holiday.

Great sea view. Clean and well-equipped apartment.

We had a wonderful long, weekend break at the Yellow Sands apartment. The location is fabulous overlooking the stunning Harlyn Bay. We enjoyed relaxing strolls on the beach, walking the cliff path to Padstow and danced the night away to a great band at the Harlyn Bay Pub. The apartment is a five minute drive from Padstow and the Camel trail. I have been visiting the Harlyn Bay area for many years and my friends are now also smitten. We would all love to stay at the apartment again as it was very good value for money and would recommend Yellow Sands to others. Thank you to owners, Martin and Debbie.

I would just like to say, on behalf of my husband Torkel and myself, that we really enjoyed staying in your apartment. It was warm, clean and cosy with very comfortable beds and not forgetting, of course, the most beautiful view. Special interest holidays:

Within the locality there are a wide variety of pastimes including sea fishing trips; pleasure cruises along the coast and around the small islands as well as speed boat trips.

The estuary is a haven for sailing; windsurfing and water-skiing. For walkers or cyclist there is the camel trail and coastal path, the golfer is also catered for with two championship courses, one within a mile of Yellow Sands. In Addition you will find pony trekking, theme parks, tennis, swimming pools, go-carts and even parachute jumps available. All area’s of Cornwall can be reached within an hour for daytrips and sightseeing.

Coast/Beach:

200 meters via a private footpath approx. 5 minutes walk so no parking worries.

Newquay Airport 10km

Bodmin Road Train Station 20km

Distances:

Nearest Village (St Merryn) 1.5km with shops post office, pubs, restaurants etc

There is also a wide variety of pastimes near by, the harbour at Padstow offers sea-fishing trips; cruises along the coast and speedboat rides. The estuary is ideal for water sports and the Camel Trail wends its way along the old railway route to Wadebridge and onto Bodmin for scenic cycle ride and walks.… Other local leisure pursuits include Horse Riding; Go Karting; Tennis; Bowls; Harlyn Surf school and for Golf enthusiasts there are championship links courses close by at Trevose and St Enodoc and across the estuary at Rock.

There are 6 other sandy beaches all within 15minutes drive.
