Amazing get away

  • 5 of 5

Had a fantastic time in France with my partner and the gite was amazing, the perfect get away. Couldn't of asked for a better stay and succeeded expectations!

Carol and Steve are great people, great hosts and made us feel very welcome. A bottle of wine was presented to us on arrival and was a lovely touch. Walking up to the gite and through the lovely garden was like walking into a beautiful painting (picture perfect). It was gorgeous both inside and out. It was a peaceful and beautiful stay, bed was comfy, gite was great value for money, the little town was nearby and we would definitely stay again.

P.S. Chickens were amusing :-)

Best of luck to you both me and my partner hope to see you again soon.

A warm genuine welcome

  • 5 of 5

From the minute we arrived at this beautiful property we were made to feel at home .The owners could not have been more helpful and friendly(without being intrusive). Their hospitality was superb and they were always interested in where we had been, offering local advice where necessary. We loved the rural location as it was near enough to the town and amenities. There is plenty to keep the holiday interesting, coast, museums, canoeing and even a Via Ferrata within a 45min drive. We even had a day in Jersey (St.Malo 1 1/2 hour drive) to meet friends. Local swimming is brilliant with a leisure centre in Vire and open air at Mortain. We cannot praise this couple enough for their hard work. We've had a great time and can't wait for a return visit!

From the Owner

We bought this property because it was stunning when we came to see it in the summer and was hooked as not only was it remote and peaceful but also away from neighbours and the only sound we could hear was the birds and cows in the nearby field. It is easily accessible down a short country lane. when we saw the property it was like a little Hansel and Gretal house something out a fairytale. with a 1 acre garden/orchard it was so enchanting and yet you still can be in a village with bar less than 2 mile away. You will be very happy here with south facing garden pool and patio furniture to sunbathe on or read a book in peace.
