House in Cardoso, Asturias, Spain - Between 620 € and 1200 € Weekly (Depends On Season

Country house, 1 mile from small town and beautiful beaches. Great views, 4 double bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, the house sleeps 8(+2). It was built in 1905 and renovated in 2010, retaining the original elements and distribution of the modernist period. There are 3 bedrooms all with full en-suite bathroom, plus a spacious attic with another full bathroom, and bed-sofa which can be considered a fourth bedroom. Additionally, the first two bedrooms include a third extra bed, so the total sleeping capacity is comfortably 10. The attic has a spectacular south-facing gallery towards the mountain and a large terrace to the north, overlooking the ocean horizon. The house is fully equipped, kitchen, cupboards, heating, air conditioning, WIFI, barbecue, garden and patio in a 480 sqm lot. Being at the highest point of the rural center and facing south it enjoys privileged views and lots of light. The area is very quiet. All rooms have windows or balconies overlooking the garden and surrounding countryside. Within just 1-3 miles from the house there are some of the best beaches in Asturias - Gulpilluri , Cuevas del Mar, San Anton, and the great beach of San Antolin where you can also surf. Only 7 miles away is the Sella river, the best known in Spain for rafting, canoeing and salmon fishing. And 9 miles from the beautiful Llanes town and its golf course. This comfortable and pleasant house is an ideal base for the discerning holidaymaker to enjoy all that Asturias has to offer, providing an increasingly rare opportunity to experience a real sense of traditional Spain. Just 200 meters from the house is the coastal Pilgrim Route to Santiago de Compostela, in one of its most bucolic and well preserved portions. Only one mile away this old path enters into Nueva ("Prettier Village in Asturias" in 1963). In addition, the entire set is just 16 miles from the impressive mountain range Picos de Europa, spectacular landscapes mounting from the seashore to the close by Naranjo de Bulnes (8,000 feet high). Local culture is very much diverse and alive, festivals, music, cuisine, the Museum of Jurassic dinosaur remains, caves with stunning cave paintings, Visigothic and Romanesque art, and much more to discover.

Notes on accommodation: very quiet location, surrounded by fields, in the edge of small village Cardoso and walking distance from small town Nueva Outside: There is plenty of private room to park several cars; here you enter the gate into a small entrance garden and into the house; the back yard is broader, including a paved part with a BBQ, a wooden table and six chairs. Utility Room: Close to the kitchen, the bathroom 3 includes washing machine, iron and ironing board. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: We supply all bedding and towels. Please provide your own beach towels for outdoor use. The house is cleaned between lettings. House cleaning and changing bedding and towels during your stay can be arranged with a local maid. Other: The whole style of the house if modernistic (1920s..) restored in 2010, stairs and wide-board flooring, high ceilings.

Amazing country home close to beaches and tranquility of the beauty of Asturias

This house was amazing. I've never rented a place yet in Spain that my family actually wanted to spend more time in then being out. This is a great place for a group of people or family want to spend quality time together. Super clean, very prepared, and lots of space. The yard was a plus for some games and my nieces and daughters even slept in a tent outside for fun. The location is pefect to the Rio Sella canoeing, Northern route Camino del Santiago, exploring the mountains, or discovering the amazing beaches within 10 to 30 minutes driving. Great location between city of Llanes and Ribadesella, both favorites. We'd definitely come back.

Beautiful house and

The house is lovely, very spacious with high ceilings, wooden floors and a good sized garden. The terrace on the 3rd floor offers fabulous evening sunshine and amazing sunsets. We were lucky to get great weather for our stay so spent little time there in the day. Some of the most beautiful beaches I've seen are a short drive away and so are the Picos de Europe with magnificent views. The village is quiet and picturesque with shops and bars in Nuevo, only a mile away.

We have 2 boys, ages 7 and 9 and they have had the best holiday; dinosaur museum and footprints and fossils to find; canoeing down the Sella river; jumping waves in the sea (despite being cool, you really do get used to it!); great tapas/seafood (but more traditional child friendly food usually on offer for our more fussy youngest); and deserted beaches...we felt like the only people a lot of the time (although it's only May so not peak season). Perfectly opposite to touristy, overdeveloped noisy resorts so it's just what we were looking for.

The house is well equipped and having no English TV and no super fast broadband (there is Wifi enough to use Internet just not dreaded kids youtube videos) was a welcome relief and meant we had quality family time. We took some games, there's nothing much to do for the kids except the greatest hide and seek with so many rooms and corners to hide in.

With very limited Spanish we struggled at times but emailing or phoning the owners was easy and they are very friendly and helpful. Mariano speaks good English but the housekeeper's English is not so fluent so I'd recommend you brush up your Spanish. (Saying that we still managed to get instructions to find a fuse box so credit to Rosi) We certainly hope to return and have fallen in love with this very beautiful coast of Spain.

This beautiful house was a wonderful base to explore Asturias. It is a tasteful, spacious and light-filled home in a lovely village situated between the best part of the Asturian coastline and the Picos de Europa. We would definitely go back.

Nuestra experiencia ha sido muy buena, la casa estaba limpia y dos de las habitaciones muy amplias con cama supletoria incluida.

Por mejorar algo: deberían poner la calefacción antes de llegar para q la casa esté acondicionada.
