Kevington Cottage - Traditional, detached, stone-built cottage on the beautiful Cowal peninsula. A perfect retreat for a cosy getaway, this large one-bedroom cottage is full of character, nestling in a secluded garden backing onto woodland – yet just a short distance from the ferry at Hunter’s Quay, as well as the shops, restaurants and amenities in the seaside town of Dunoon. Dunoon is the gateway to the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park and the surrounding scenery is truly breathtaking, with superb walking and water sports on the doorstep. Summertime at the cottage sees guests enjoying the large sunny conservatory which overlooks the garden and enjoying the sundeck and being able to conjure up something wonderful on the barbecue - and in winter you have the perfect excuse for just snuggling up in front of the woodburning stove in the lounge.

Property is no smoking and sorry we do not accept any pets.

The location of the cottage is perfect for guests who have had a long drive to get to Cowal as you will only be a one minute drive away from where the ferry arrives in Hunter's Quay.

Notes on accommodation: A welcome basket is provided to help guests to relax and begin their holiday and free unlimited internet access also provided. Initial amount of fuel for fire left in the cottage, after which guests can purchase locally if desired Outside: The large secluded garden backs onto woodland and is regularly occupied by deer and a variety of wild birds. Cowal is also famed for its red squirrel garden 2 population, so keep a look-out! There is a variety of garden furniture and a barbecue for those hot summer days. Cleaning / Towels / All linen, towels and dish cloths are provided. Other: Conservatory: Leading off the lounge this large garden room overlooks the garden and is a lovely place to enjoy a drink in the evening, or curl up on the sofa with a good book.

Dunoon is a good centre for exploring Argyll, though wet at times.

Lovely, comfortable cottage

We had a wonderful stay at this cottage. It is very clean and comfortable. We appreciated the welcome basket and the extras that were included. There is an amazing sunroom to relax in after touring the area of Dunoon. I would highly recommend staying here. Great location to tour the area.

Beautiful Cottage!!!!!

We stayed in this lovely place during our wedding. We are both from Chicago but I spent time here when I was young and my family is still here. The cottage is very clean, well maintained and the owner is beyond helpful. The location is pretty close to everything and you can walk to local shops (although we drove around most of the time). We were there in April so the weather wasn't great but still saw lots of wildlife in the garden!!!! We plan on staying here again this year. Very highly recommended.

Note: the location is tucked away so pay attention to the directions given... ;o)

Es handelt sich um ein sehr liebevoll eingerichtetes kleines Cottage mit einem kleinen Wintergarten.

Vor dem Wintergarten ist eine hübsche Terrasse mit Blick in einen netten Garten und bei schönem Wetter gibt es auch die Möglichkeit zu Grillen.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und hatten unsere Freude an all den hübschen Dingen die in der Wohnung sind.

Die Wohnung war sauber und gepflegt, wir würden sie zu jeder Zeit wieder mieten.

Jeanie ist eine sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Gastgeberin, die uns mit einer Flasche Wein und etwas zu naschen begrüßt hat. Solltet ihr Hilfe mit der Fähre oder sonstigem brauchen sprecht mit Jeanie.

Dunoon ist ein wunderbarer Platz als Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen.
