Cottage in Beadnell, Northumberland, England - Fantastic Views Of Beach And Countryside, Close To Beach

Islestone cottage is a fabulous recent barn conversion in an enviable location with very large enclosed gardens (quarter of an acre)-there are lawned gardens to the front and back with separate patio areas. To the front there are views over the cheviots and to the back there are views of the dunes and the surrounding countryside . The cottage is in a rural private spot, yet just a 10 minute walk to the beach / village .

The ground floor comprises of a large open plan sitting area leading to the dining kitchen. The sitting area has 2 large sofas with a large footstool, as well as a tub chair. There is a cosy log burner with starter basket of logs. The contemporary kitchen has white shaker units with granite worktops. There is a gas hob and electric oven , integrated fridge /freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer.

The dining area can comfortably sit 8 with an attractive fitted corner seat.

There are 2 bedrooms with views over the rear gardens. One bedroom has bunk beds and a single bed. The other bedroom has twin beds. Both rooms have blackout roman blinds.The bathroom has quality fittings ,with a shower over a bath.

Stairs lead to the master bedroom, again with views over the rear garden ,with an ensuite.

A high specification has been applied throughout with plenty of entertainment for both adults and kids.

The cottage has been fully decorated this year with Farrow and Ball colours.

There is a trampoline (in the summer), a wii with games, table tennis in the garage, lots of toys and board games, and some beach equipment which guests may borrow. A garage provides storage for bikes if required, and there are parking spaces next to the cottage for 2 cars.

Free unlimited wifi .

All linen provided.

Underfloor heating and cosy log burner.

3 Flat screen tv's with Chromecast so you can catch up on Netflix etc

Barbecue for al fresco dining

Starter pack of tea , coffee, milk etc provided .

A perfect retreat.

Bookings can be made directly with the owner if preferred

One small dog is allowed at an additional charge of £25. Again, please enquire regarding this.

About Heather Johnson

We are a family of 5 living in Newcastle , and have always loved the Northumberland coast. We were lucky enough to buy the cottage a few years ago in the building renovations stage and were thrilled with the amount of outside garden space which is such a rarity in a cottage. Having children ourselves, we understand how important it is to have plenty of things for them to do and we have made sure the cottage is well equipped for that purpose ! We hope our guests have a lovely time in the cottage and are on hand in the unlikely case any problems arise.

Why Heather Johnson chose Northumberland Coast

We bought in Beadnell as the beaches around this area are second to none. As soon as you turn of the A1 and start to see the sea, you start to relax and de stress.The cottage itself is in a fantastic area- far enough away to have privacy and peace and yet very close to all the amenities.

There is lots to do and we have an information pack in the cottage for guest's use.

What makes this cottage unique

The cottage was recently converted - some of the property is the farmhouse and some of it the converted barn. The design of it works really well and in the main reception rooms light floods in from both the front and the back of the house .

The gardens are fantastic ,particularly in the Summer.

Lovely property great for our family

We had a great time in the cottage. The facilities were great with no issues. Nicely furnished place with all the things you need. The trampoline and large garden gave the kids plenty of space to play and the short walk to the beach is a bonus not to mention the short walk to the pub.

The food in the Craster pub was excellent but definatley need to book a table.

We hired a kayak from boards and bikes for an afternoon which was great fun for the all even saw a seal whilst on the kayak.

A fabulous home from home.

Islestone cottage is one of the best holiday cottages we've stayed in (and we've stayed in many!) beautifully decorated and maintained with EVERYTHING provided for an amazing self catering stay - loved the large soup pan, blender & dish washer tabs all often overlooked. The location was perfect 2mins from village centre (loved Craster Arms - great atmosphere and gorgeous food) and 5 minute lovely walk through fields to beach - just breathtaking at any time of day! Yet we felt very rural and secluded in our warm, cosy cottage. The dogs loved the garden and we loved the festive touches - the Christmas tree was a delightful surprise. We enjoyed various days out to Alnwick, Bamburgh, Seahouses etc and shared a magical New Years Eve with many other people on the beach at midnight complete with candles, drinks and fireworks.

All in all a fabulous stay for 3 generations of happy holidaymakers who cannot wait to return!

The property was first class ideal for small children.

We had a great time, the weather was good and it was lovely having a nice big garden for the grandchildren to play in before heading to the beach. The house was first class, the only comment would be the washing machine was,not that easy to work. We would go back again.

Location, location, location

Great property with lovely big garden. Ideal for families with children. 10 minutes walk to the beach.

When we arrived there was no welcome note or information folder left out so we asked the neighbour for info where to shop etc... later found the folder in a draw in the livingroom. So it felt a bit lacking in personal/ welcoming touch. A few better pots and frying pans in the kitchen would have been great, but overall this really is a great property and Northumberland is quiet enough even in high season! Would recommend a stay!

Fabulous accomodation in a great location

We had a lovely weeks holidays and would highly recommend this property for anybody visiting the area. The cottage is very spacious, well laid out and cosy. Kids loved the trampoline and large back garden and also the table tennis provided. The cottage is like a home from home and the owner provided excellent customer service.
