Completed in 2012, Varendar Mar is a development of outstanding build quality set in well-maintained grounds a peaceful location. This property is one of ten south-facing penthouses on this development. Set on the third floor, the property has two bedrooms (one en-suite double and one twin); a family bathroom; a large kitchen and open dining/sitting area. At the end of the sitting area are French Windows which open up to reveal sea and mountain views including towards Bedar, the Mojaca basin and Mojaca itself. Furnished to a very high standard, the property has air conditioning and has fittings of a very high standard.

I'm a father of two teenage children living and working in Cornwall for the NHS. We look forward to escaping to the quiet of our bolt-hole in Vera, which is an ideal base for either a beach holiday or walk in the nearby desert.

Why Adam S Pollard chose Mojacar area

The climate was one reason I bought in Vera. You have a very high chance of enjoying warm sunshine between March and December. Even January and February temperatures frequent the low 20s.

Although you are able to reach the beach or the shops within a five minute drive, this Penthouse allows a sense of remoteness. Due to its elevated position relative to buildings in front of you, as you stand on the balcony your view is drawn to the sea, 600m to the East, or the mountains, a few miles in front of you.

The grounds of the development are impeccably manicured, ideal for a post meal stroll.

The property itself lies within easy reach of airports at Almeria (45 mins), Murcia (75 mins) or Alicante (2 hrs) all of which are easily reachable from the UK. The road network in Spain is ideal for making these journeys in quick time.

Although car hire prices are very reasonable, I can put you in touch with people who can pick you up from the airport.

For food you have a choice of a 20 minute walk or five minute drive to large supermarkets. A number of restaurants lie within easy reach by foot or by car.

A Penthouse within a development of outstanding build quality, my property enjoys its own parking bay set behind a secure gate. Set on the third floor, the property enjoys a spacious lounge/diner which opens up to reveal magical views to the sea and mountains. If you like the sun, you can soak it up on the generous terrace from early morning and watch it drop behind the hills at night.

The property has an extensive range of high quality kitchen equipment including oven, grill, toaster, kettle, large fridge/freezer and washing machine. The master suite and living area are fully air conditioned with a ventilator added to the twin room.
