Apartments "Ballard" & "Peveril" are situated adjacent to each other & would be ideal for two couples or small families holidaying together. Situated in a popular area with stunning views of Swanage Bay, Ballard Down, "Old Harry Rocks", Bournemouth & Isle of Wight. These apartments are in the perfect location to explore this delightful town & picturesque surrounding Jurassic coastline. Ideally situated close to safe sandy beaches, south west coastal path, Victorian Pier & Swanage Steam Railway. Corfe Castle, Studland beach, Poole Harbour, Brownsea Island, Durdle Door & Lulworth Cove are only a short drive away. For a unique day out take the "Purbeck Breezer" open top double-decker bus to Bournemouth, via the "Bramble Bush" chain ferry..

Duvets, mattress protectors, pillows & bathmats are provided. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN BED LINEN & TOWELS. This can be arranged at the time of your booking or no later than two weeks prior to your stay... Unallocated,unrestricted parking is available at the front of the building this operates on a first come first served basis.There is also a pay & display car park 100 mtrs away. Swanage town council offer a weekly permit which can be purchased in advance, & is transferable to all their long stay car parks in the town. Further details can be found on the Swanage town council website (we strongly recommend this option in peak season). Unrestricted, on street parking is 300 metres away... Apartments are cleaned to a very high standard on change over days.

Many thanks for the lovely champagne at your wonderful apartment. We had a splendid time in Dorset and I was truly overjoyed when I entered the flat, my boys were jumping for joy too.

Sorry, meant to email you as soon as we got home but been a crazy week. Just to say a huge thank you, the apartment is brilliant, you have thought of everything, we wanted for nothing. We could not have enjoyed our stay more. Would love to return, will have to keep our eyes on the availability!

Excellent apartment a stones throw away from the sea

Fantastic apartment which is very well equipped. Excellent layout with three large windows one overlooking the town and the other two the sea. Would not hesitate to book this apartment again for a trip down to Swanage. Many thanks Phil for making your apartment so homely.

It was a great location with great facilities.

This flat was great. We stayed with our 4month old for 3 nights and had a good time. Facilities were perfect - my husband kept saying 'I bet there isn't any....' tea bags/sugar/dishwasher tablets etc, and there always was!! Great to have those bits we hadn't thought of.

Flat is modern and well furnished - only annoying thing is that the tv is on the wall outside the bedroom door... with the baby asleep in the room we had to watch the tv quietly!

Phil was easy to contact & quick to reply beforehand and we had no issues with keys etc - or anything when we were there.

The area is good, nice walks, attractions nearby & plenty of pubs/takeaways!

Ballard is what anyone going on holiday strives to find, but rarely does …. a fantastic home from home! If you are looking for a stylish, spacious, comfortable, spotlessly clean, well equipped and maintained apartment, that is family friendly and ideally located in Swanage, then look no further .… you’ve found it!

Holidaying in Swanage and staying at the Apartment Ballard is the perfect combination. It provided us with direct, central and easy access to an array of local activities, restaurants, bars and entertainment to suit all ages, tastes and preferences. We did so much in a short time; we took the Swanage Steam Railway direct to Corfe Castle, we caught a ferry from Swanage bay to Brownsea Island passing Old Harry’s Rocks, we took the costal path walk from Swanage to Worth Matravers and enjoyed some local cider at the famous Square and Compass, we treated ourselves to some delectable chocolate at Chococo, and we managed to squeeze in a brief visit to the Tank Museum en-route to Durdle door.

We had a serene start and end to each day, enjoying a cup of tea in the apartment staring out at the tranquil, stunning, enchanting views of Swanage.

The booking system was uncomplicated and easily accessible. The owners were extremely approachable, friendly, helpful and incredibly efficient, even with our last minute booking request

We highly recommend this apartment and we cannot wait to go back….!! It’s a gem.

The apartment met our expectations or was even better, when we walked in it was wonderfully light and spacious also clean which is important. the kitchen had all the necessary equipment. Just lovely to look out at the view of the harbour, the sea and most days the sunshine.

This little apartment is perfect! Very light open space with sea views from the living room/kitchen and bedroom. Very clean and well equipped, modern finish. I'd have to disagree with a previous review regarding noise from the bar below, there were people using the outdoor bar patio late on the Saturday night but the noise wasn't at all bad. The apartment is in a lovely old building, and situated in the town very close to the beach and local shops and restaurants. We were able to use the parking permit and park immediately outside the apartment, meaning we didn't have to pay for any town centre parking all week, fantastic!! The apartment is just across the street from the lovely Gee Whites cafe and seafood bar, absolutely love this place! We spent a lot of time here enjoying the food and views across swanage sat in the sun! A huge thanks to the owners for a simple booking process and such a fantastic stay!! We will be staying in this little gem again!! Kate, Rob and Ella

Ballard and Peveril

We have stayed in both apartments Oct 15/Feb 16 and have enjoyed the clean, well-equipped environments. Flats with modern tasteful décor and fabulous views. Had no probs with any noise. Sofabeds very uncomfortable to sit on in Ballard and in Peveril had to move sofa to better watch TV which is awkwardly placed. On the whole though, would/will go back happily as affordable and suits our party needs.

A popular carnival/reggatta week takes place in the summer & features stunning firework displays over Swanage Bay.

Award winning safe sandy beaches just moments away.

Studland peninsula is a 10 minute drive away, featuring National Trust beaches & "Old Harry Rocks"

Travel:

The nearest airport is Bournemouth - about 30 miles away. Nearest mainline railway station is Wareham, 10 miles from Swanage.

Distances:

The South West coastal path has been voted Britian's best walking route by the readers of "Walk" magazine & is right on the doorstep!

Corfe Castle is 5 miles away, featuring the Castle ruins (for a special day out take the steam train from Swanage)!!
