About the Owner

Hello, we wanted to tell you a little about ourselves and the beautiful setting that we live. My husband and I purchased the property in 2006. The property which stands with attached barns, is set in 4.2 acres of the Mid Wales Countryside. We renovated the Old Dairy Barn and have retained as many original features as possible.

We planted an orchard with apples, plums, damsons, quince, pear, medlar and cherry trees, this is also the home to our lovely chickens who lay delicious fresh eggs daily.

Guestbook comments from the owner

I stayed in the converted dairy parlour and it was gorgeous. So peaceful and I had the best nights sleep I've had in years.

I would definitely recommend it for couples and small families. And we are planning a return visit.

It is truly beautiful up on the hill and feels like you are on top of the world. K Glover

We came as visitors and left as friends . A fabulous time with lovely hosts. The children loved the space and we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. L Clarke West Yorkshire

Enjoyable short break in beautiful surroundings. The bran is very comfortable and cosy. Pity we had to move on. Hope to call again soon. D Parr Warrington

Lovely converted barn in a super location

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here in Septemer 2016. The barn is beautifully converted . We liked everything about it .

The bed is super comfortable , the hospitality great (thank you Michelle for the apples and the eggs ).

The weather was great whilst we were there so we sat out on the decking a lot and met the hens and bantam and watched the sheep. The views are lovely.

Overall we had a great break and I am sure we will be back !

My husband and I wanted a quiet long weekend away if was the perfect spot.

  • 5 of 5

We booked for 2 nights and we were not disappointed, the barn is perfectly placed and the views were beautiful. The barn itself was perfect, catered for every need and spotless. Very nice touch with the homemade scones and eggs whack were left out for us.

Very nice walk to the local pub where the food was wonderful.

Would definitely book again.

A beautiful place to be

  • 5 of 5

Stayed at the barn for 3 days ,myself my wife 5yr old daughter and dexter our lab. From the moment you drive up the gravel drive and view the barn you fall in love. This is a perfect holiday let with everything you will need for a comfortable stay. The barn is kept clean to a high standard and my wife commented how lovely the bedding and towels smelt. The kingside bed was very comfy with amazing views through the french doors onto the decking area.Go outside and the view is astounding, very tranquil..on colder nights the large log burner was great fun and kept the barn very warm.It was lovely to meet the owner Michelle. She leaves you to enjoy you stay unless you have a problem or need help with something.I had a few questions for her about best pubs to take our dog into were Michelle went away and quickly phoned around and found out for us.She was lovely to talk to and great help with the log burner. The barn is a credit to her..We all had an amazing stay and loved the lambs in the field and free roaming chickens. Can't wait to return.Try the nags head down the round.Dog friendly, great decor and beautiful food.

Easter 2016

  • 5 of 5

Stayed with our two children and dog over Easter weekend. We arrived in sunshine and left in snow! The barn has been beautifully renovated and is clean, well equipped, comfortable and really cozy with the log burner lit. The vase of daffodils, cake and eggs were a lovely touch and very much appreciated.

The location itself is great; close enough to Welshpool for the convenience of the shops but quiet and peaceful with an abundance of wildlife. There is loads to do nearby and we could have stayed longer.

We would definitely recommend.

From the Owner

We purchased the property at auction in the summer of 2006. It was a glorious summer, due to the peaceful location we constantly felt we were on holiday, so little renovating got done that summer! We wanted a place without neighbours, where the views were breathtaking, where we could could grow our own vegetables and try a little of the good life for ourselves.
