We bought our apartment on Mar Menor Golf Resort, off plan, in 2005 & patiently waited four years for it finally to be delivered in 2009 - it was well worth the wait!

We have enjoyed many holidays now in our home in the sun & have stayed at different times throughout the year & sampled all the Spanish Seasons & Fiestas! It is now time to share our apartment & we hope that you also get to enjoy it as much as we do.

Superb apartment with beautiful views

The whole complex is immaculate, both golf course and swimming pools. Wonderful restaurants are on site, with sensible prices. We visited many interesting places particularly Cartagena, which is a lovely old city with lots of history. Can highly recommend for a relaxing holiday. Thank you Debbie and Mark.

GREAT VIEWS AND GREAT APARTMENT

We visited this great apartment the first 2 weeks of July.We had been to this resort the year before but had never booked via this website before. The owner Debbie-Jane made the booking very simple and worry free.

The apartment is very comforatble, it is clean and fresh and has amazing views over the golf course lake.

The terrace was large and lovely for sitting out admiring the view.

There are 2 pools right next to the apartment and they were exceptionally clean with lovely views also.

The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could think of for preparing a meal. It has a dishwasher, washing machine and it was all well maintained. Everything you needed was available and very clean. Its these little things that just make the difference. We were very comfortable for our 11 night stay and did not experience any issues.

I would definitely recommend this property to anyone who wants a relaxing holiday in a lovely apartment at a very good price and I would come back again next year.

Our favourite restaurants were at the Boulevard and I would recommend Flavour and the Shamrock Lounge. The hotel also has a really good Italian :)

Fantastic accommodation in Mar Menot Golf Resort

My husband and I with our two teenage children have just returned from a fantastic holiday in Mar Menor Resort. The apartment was excellent, very clean and well situated for access to all amenities within a fabulous complex. The apartment has two pools at either side of the accommodation making this a perfect location to sit and relax in the sun. The apartment is very spacious which was ideal for a family of four as there are two bathrooms, two bedrooms, and a lovely balcony with stunning views over the golf course. I would also like to mention Debbie-Jane (owner) who made us feel completely at ease

when booking the accommodation through the website. Nothing was a bother to her and she replied promptly to any queries I had. We would highly recommend this apartment and will definitely be returning in the near future as we have visited this area on many occasions with this being our favourite apartment.

Clean modern golf appartment

We stayed at this modern and spacious apartment for 5 relaxing days last June. Being only a short taxi drive away from the airport and the warm waters of Los Alcazares made it a great resort for us as we felt no need to hire a car. The well maintained golf course and five restaurants are all a few minutes walk from apartment. With numerous swimming pools on site and a well stocked supermarket there was no need for a car. The apartment has a stunning view over 3 holes of the golf course from its spacious terrace and comes equipped with comfy outdoor furniture. There was plenty of room to accommodate the four of us plus our golfing equipment. We found the owners very helpful and knowledgeable about local area. A very enjoyable experience all round.

Superb apartment. Thoroughly enjoyed our week stay

My husband and 14 year old son spent a week at the end of August. The apartment exceeded our expectations and is furnished to a very high standard and was very clean. It has lovely views from a large balcony over the golf course which we played four times during the week. It is quiet but only a short walk from restaurants and the hotel with a beautiful pool and spa. The beach town of Los Alcazares is a short drive/taxi ride away and offers more bars and a lovely sandy beach.There are numerous other golf courses to choose from too. The owners could not have been more accommodating and allowed us to arrive on a Friday and leave a little later on the Saturday which was very helpful to us. I cannot fault the apartment or the location and would definitely recommend it to friends and family. My son is already planning his next visit! Overall a wonderful holiday enjoyed by us all.

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

The local beach at Los Alcazares is a 5 minute drive away with Los Narejos beach being just under a 10 minute drive away. Both hold the Blue Flag Award. All beaches have sunbeds & parasols for rent and there are numerous beach bars dotted along the promenade.

Slightly further away (approx.30 minute drive) there is the beautiful port of Cabo de Palos with it's own light house & wonderful harbour side restauarants.

The beaches of La Manga are a further 10 minute drive on from Cabo de Palos.

Travel:

There are regular flights from the UK to Murcia (San Javier) Airport. The transfer time from Murcia Airport to Mar Menor Golf Resort is just a 15 minute drive.

Alternatively there are flights from the UK to Alicante and the transfer time to the resort is approx. 50 minute drive.

Local car hire can be pre booked on-line or indeed arranged at the airport.

Car hire is recommended.

Distances:

Torre Pacheco is the nearest town with shops & restaurants. The nearest beaches are Los Alcazares (5 min drive) & Los Narejos (10 min drive) & both have beach bars & restaurants as well.

Cartegena Town is steeped in history & definitely worth a visit & is a 20 min drive from the resort.

Further Details:

There is a taxi rank on resort, by the Intercontinental Hotel, should you decide not to drive yourself and a free bus shuttle service to the beach, shops & ferry port that operates daily throughout the peak months of the Summer, please check timetable for further details.

  • Notes on accommodation: The apartment is simply wonderful. Set in a luxury resort, with fantastic facilities, with golf frontline & lake views. It is clean, modern, bright, safe & most of all a relaxing place to stay. It is perfect for all ages - golfers, couples & families alike. Both communal pools are fully enclosed for child safety & are immaculately maintained. Each have a seperate toddler pool for younger guests. All pools have showers. The surrounding gardens are well manicured. It is truly a most relaxing place to enjoy the warm spanish sunshine all year round. Off resort there is lots to do from jet skiing to scuba diving, fishing to walking. You can even hire a bicycle for the day & cycle the boulevard which goes on for miles along the unspoilt beach front. Whilst a car is recommended to be able to explore the surrounding area it is not completely necessary as Mar Manor resort has everything you need on site. It's supermarket, whilst small stocks everything. Outside: The main terrace has a dining table & 4 x chairs. There are also 4 x loungers for relaxing. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The apartment will be fully cleaned & prepared prior to your arrival. An additional cash payment of EUR 70 should be left at the end of your stay to cover the cost of cleaning & laundry. All linen & apartment towels are professionally laundered. Other: Bedroom 2 has it's own smaller terrace. There is lift access to the apartment & secure, underground car parking.
