This superb light and airy 2 bedroomed, 2 bathroom penthouse is nestled on a hill between Fuengirola and Marbella, just 20-30 mins from Malaga Airport. The large private sun terrace directly overlooks the 18 hole par 72 Calanova Golf Course and enjoys the most fabulous views of the Mediterranean. There is a choice of 6 pools in the complex, secure underground parking and a lift. The apartment itself is furnished to a high standard and is serviced. Towels and bedding are all provided and there is central airconditioning / heating, unlimited Wifi, BBQ, a large flat screen TV, DVD, paperback library and games available for your use. The beach and popular little town of La Cala de Mijas with its bustling bars and wide choice of restaurants is literally 5 mins drive away and there are plenty of taxis available in the town. Marbella and the ever fashionable Puerto Banus is approximately 20 mins drive but for the more adventurous, horse riding, sun buggying, Art Museums, the Palace of Alhambra, Gibraltar, Fuengirola BioParc, Donkey Sanctuary and gorgeous Andalucian historic villages are not far away.

All this makes the apartment ideal for golfers (with access to 14 different courses nearby), families, lovers, friends, adventurers and explorers.

"The apartment is lovely-bright and spacious. good size bedrooms. lovely view of sea from balcony.Has all the appliances you would need. Also the complex is maintained to a high standard, good swimming pools. Very close drive to Cala Mijas which has some excellent old style spanish resturants/bars as well as modern types also. You can walk to the golf resturant which serves an excellent bottle of rose.


> If there was any negative for us which is being picky we were advised that every night we needed to take in all the cushions of the balcony- which is a chore when you are on holiday and although we did it im not sure whether other hoilday makers would. Notes on accommodation: We hope you will feel very much at home during your stay - most things, including sewing kits, scissors and Sellotape have been left for your personal use. We regret that smoking and pets are not allowed in the apartment but hope that does not deflect from your enjoyment! We would only ask two things: firstly, that the white towels be kept in the bathrooms please. The coloured towels provided may be used on the terrace or by the pools. The second thing is to please ensure that the air conditioning is turned off if the doors to the terrace are open and when you leave the apartment. Please feel free also to leave any cards for restaurants or details of tourist attractions you would recommend, on the notice board by the door, for other visitors to enjoy. :) Outside: The terrace is just superb! It is large and sun drenched and furnished to a high standard with hotel quality furniture including a separate seating/lounging with large coffee table area for 8/10, two full length sun loungers, a glass covered top quality dining table and 6 chairs. Gas BBQ available. Within the complex there are 5 swimming pools to choose from. The block itself has its own pool, but with the gate code you may use any of the others. Utility Room: washing machine, airer, iron and ironing board available. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The apartment is serviced and cleaned at the beginning and end of your stay. Towels and linen are provided and enough are available for the week. Midweek services may be available on request for a small charge.

We had the most fabulous holiday in this beautiful apartment. Lynne was extremely accommodating and the apartment was kitted out with everything you could ever need. The balcony offers fabulous views and the complex is very well maintained and clean. Can't wait to go back!

Perfect Peaceful Stay

I stayed in Lynn's wonderful apartment with my Wife and One year old daughter.

All correspondence with Lynn was very efficient and clear. I was initially cautious about booking apartment in case the advert was fake but this one is real and apartment is as described.

The apartment itself is large with multiple bathrooms. The pool areas were quiet and it was great to have sun loungers on your own balcony to save walking to the pool.

I liked that it was quiet especially at night time. Lynn had DVDs and Chromecast which was good given we stayed in each evening.

Washing machine and dishwasher were great to have as were the coffee machines.

The large balcony was good to watch sunrise and you had the sun all day there.

The apartment is located in a quiet yet central area. Cala de Mijas is one of the nicest villages along the coastline. Miramar hypermarket fuengirola is where we did most food shopping but there are several supermarkets in Cala de Mijas too. As other reviews state you could use Taxis but I found a rental car from Helle Hollis gave us much more freedom to travel around the area doing trips to Gibraltar and Seville. The apartment is just off the motorway so great for travelling but if you prefer to simply sunbathe on holiday then this would also be a great apartment for that.

Cabopino beach is a good beach within very short drive.

I have been recommending this apartment to friends and would certainly stay here again.

Superb Penthouse

We have just returned from a superb week spent in this fantastic apartment. The property is exactly as advertised, very well appointed, with a huge private sun terrace permitting all day sunbathing and totally private. The whole booking process was simple, the owner Lynn a delight to engage with, where we are already looking forward to a return trip in due course. We would recommend highly to anyone looking for peaceful break away in Southern Spain. Car Hire essential being the only tip to any interested party.

Best Apartment Ever

This has got to be the best apartment we have ever stayed in.

The apartment itself is well furnished and well equipped with all the comforts of home.

The terrace is amazing with fantastic views over Calanova golf course, the mountains and all the way to La Cala de Mijas and the sea.

The pictures don't really show the size of the apartment or the terrace. Seeing is believing.

Although the apartment only sleeps 6 there is enough seating and loungers on the terrace for at least 14.

We used the pool nearest the apartment which was lovely and peaceful and in well kept gardens.

You have got use of all the other pools at the complex which are all clean and well looked after daily.

There were always sunloungers available and the most we ever seen around the pool was about 10 people.

Although a car is reccommended it is not essential if you don't mind paying 10 euros each way for a taxi down into La Cala and back and they do come straight away after booking them

La Cala itself is a lovely little town with restaurants to suit all tastes and 3 large supermarkets and a beautiful clean sandy beach with plenty of beach bars and sunloungers.

Once in La Cala you can get the local bus all the way along the coast to Marbella and Puerto Banus from the roundabout near the taxi rank for just over 2 euros.

You can also get the bus to go the opposite way along the coast to Fuengirola from outside Biddy Mulligans for less than 2 euros.

Fuengirola also has a great selection of restaurants.

You can also get a bus or train to other resorts along the coast from Fuengirola.

All in all we had a lovely holiday with fantastic weather in a beautiful apartment and great location.

We would highly recommend this apartment to everybody.

Car: recommended


The lovely little beach at La Cala De Mijas is only 5 minutes or so drive but there are further choices with Marbella, Fuengirola and the nudist beach at Torremolinos being easily reached well within half an hour by car.


Malaga airport is the nearest and is only 30 mins away by car. Easy to follow direct route.


la Cala de Mijas is 5 minutes in the car, Fuengirola is 10 mins, Marbella is 20 minutes, Puerto Banus is 25 minutes. ( all approximate but realistic)

Further Details:

The little town of Mijas has a wide range of bars, pubs and restaurants, all reasonably priced. There are a few better quality restaurants not far away for special occasions. Most people speak English and there are banks with ATM's in the town. There are 3 supermarkets including Lidl's for any day to day needs. There is a pharmacy in the town with a 24 hr pharmacy a short drive away. There is an excellent hospital in Puerto Banus should there be any emergencies, hopefully not!

There is a market on the way into town which takes place on Saturdays and Wednesdays and a number of flea markets in the vicinity on different days. There is a file in the apartment with all the local information you might need.
