A converted World War II lookout post, the Lookout is situated on the shore of the Lindisfarne Nature Reserve. This is an ideal spot if you are a keen birdwatcher. The living area is open plan with a sofa bed, TV/DVD, Radio/CD, books and local information. There is plenty storage space. The fully fitted and well equipped kitchen area has a gas cooker/hob, fridge and microwave. There is a shower room off the main living/sleeping area with shower. toilet and WHB. There is gas central heating. The Lookout has an enclosed car park and garden with a gate leading directly onto the shore. There is outside seating to take in the stunning view while watching the tides come in and out. Please not there is no internet access in the Lookout.
Fenham le Moor is a working farm close to the shore of the Lindisfarne Nature Reserve. Wagtail and Teal Cottages (4*) are comfortably furnished to accommodate 5 people. The Lookout (3*) is an open plan studio that sleeps 2 and is situated right on the shore. This is an ideal spot for keen birdwatchers who can use the bird hide to watch the wading birds and see the Brent Geese that come and winter over here. We are close to Northumberland's magnificent coastline and castles whilst only a few miles west you reach the foothills of the Cheviot Hills and Border country.
