About the Owner

Paul and Amanda fell in love with Winchcombe when they moved here in 2002. In 2007, shortly after the birth of their second daughter, Paul spotted the potential in a 2 bedroom bungalow that became available on Langley Road. Together, we have transformed the property into the family home with guest accommodation which it is today.

The Vine - Excellent value for money and one of the best places to stay in Winchcombe!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in the Vine between 20th and 24th February 2016 and this was our first time. Previously we have stayed in many other cottages and apartments within Winchcombe and nothing has compared to the quality and standard of this apartment.

The arrival documentation was clear, concise and informative. Amanda greeted us upon arrival and had kindly provided a welcome pack for us – which was much appreciated after a long journey. It was clear that the apartment was high quality and had a touch of class from the minute we walked in - it was well designed, decorated and fitted out. In particular the bed and bedding were extremely comfortable – a must for a great night’s sleep (which we had every night) and the bathroom was fabulous with lovely fittings and high quality towels (plus a great view across the fields and hills).

Also the location of the Vine is good - on the edge of Winchcombe, which means its very peaceful and quiet but still just a short walk into the town centre where there are plenty of good quality places to eat and drink (Plus there's a really good pub/restaurant literally just round the corner) .

The Vine is by far the best accommodation we have stayed in, in and around Winchcombe and we would definitely recommend it!

Modern and spacious

  • 5 of 5

Very impressed with this accommodation.Never done a cottage break before, but knew all the traditional styles were not what we were after. This is modern and airy, very well appointed in a lovely location. Lovely views, spotlessly clean and private. Winchcombe is gorgeous, loved the Cotswolds-this place is superb.

Such a find

  • 5 of 5

On arrival at the owner's home it is not immediately apparent what a real gem of a place they have to offer. But a few steps along a well lit pathway and you cannot be disappointed. The place is beautifully furnished, comfortable, cosy, clean and very well planned in it's layout. The furnishings are to a high standard and the luxury of the bed ensures a good nights sleep. They really have got it just right.

Superb accommodation in great location

Super clean and comfortable, beautifully furnished with great attention to detail, could not fault the accommodation. Location is perfect for exploring the Cotswolds, just a short walk to Sudley Castle or take the car to other nearby attractions. A perfect peaceful break.

Winchcombe wonder!

  • 5 of 5

The property was very clean, superbly maintained with thoughtful touches, including some complimentary foodstuffs. Spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The hospitable owners provided a responsive and excellent service. The property is within walking distance of Winchcombe, an ideal location from which to explore the Cotswolds by car. There are also several lovely circular walks from the town to Cleeve Hill and around Sudeley Castle to name but two. We would certainly recommend this property, and would probably return ourselves!

Location

From the Owner

The light and airy interior mingles with the garden beyond at The Vine. Through the large French windows you can sit and enjoy the sunset over the garden. Once dark, look up through the beautiful skylight in the sitting room to admire the constellations. Or from your own sunny patio you can sit quietly with a glass of wine and listen to the birdsong. The Vine has been running successfully as a holiday cottage since 2014 and with a background in the hotel industry Amanda knows how to look after her guests whether that is in the cleanliness & boutique hotel feel of the property or in her local knowledge of where to dine or what shows and festivals are on in Cheltenham or surrounding villages.
