A stylish and contemporary 4-bedroomed detached property, set over 3 levels, occupying an excellent position on the outskirts of Amble. Part of a quiet, award winning estate. The property is guaranteed to turn heads with it's unusual design.

It has great views of Amble Marina from the front of the property, enjoyed from the juliette balcony, and from the rear of the property views of stunning countryside and Warkworth castle. The house has been built to a very high specification with solid oak floors, granite work tops and vaulted ceiling to main living area. The use of large elevation windows gives the house wonderful light and provides stunning views. The house is within walking distance of Ambles thriving high street, with it's restaurants, cafes and shops. Amble is a great base for touring some of the high lights of Northumberland, including the beaches, Alnwick Gardens, Cragside, Warkworth, Alnmouth, Bamburgh and Craster. There is a bustling working harbour which provides fascinating viewing when the boats return with the days catch. A puffin boat cruise operates from Amble harbour, starting in April, around Coquet Island, which is a must for bird lovers.

About Sally Roberts

I live in Durham in the North East Of England, with my husband and two teenage children. We fell in love with the location and the design and feel of the house the moment we walked through the door. We use the house whenever we can, but with two sociable teenagers this time is limited. We are happy to share the house and the experience of staying there with others.

Why Sally Roberts chose Northumberland Coast

The main reason for buying the property was it's unique and unusual design and style. We loved the location of the property with it's views looking out towards Amble Marina. We never tire of watching the ever changing skies from the 2nd floor living area.

The house has a wonderful feel to it, it is light and spacious with expansive windows. We feel instantly relaxed when we arrive there.

We bought the house with the view to exploring Northumberland, but we have found that we rarely go far from the house and Amble, as we love it so much. Northumberland is a place of raw beauty and there is much to explore from the house should you want to.

Friends and family who have stayed with us, share our enthusiasm and never want to leave.

What makes this house unique

Amble has a thriving high street, with two small supermarkets, a greengrocers, 2 butchers a bakery and much more. There are numerous restaurants to hand, including a wonderful seafood restaurant on the harbour, an Indian and Italian restaurant and of course great fish and chip shops. A cafe serving super coffee and award winning ice cream is a short stroll away.

There are bike rides from the door. Beautiful beaches can be easily reached by bike or car. The town of Alnwick, famous for it's wonderful gardens is 8 miles away.

Alnmouth station is 5 miles away with free parking, it has direct links to London and Edinburgh. Trains to Newcastle run regularly and take less than 30 minutes.

Amble is described as "The friendliest port" and has a thriving fishing harbour, marina and yacht club.

Notes on accommodation: There is space for bike storage in the double garage. There is a full size table tennis table in the garage which is integral to the house. Outside: To the rear of the property there is an attractive enclosed garden with garden furniture. There is a small courtyard garden by the entrance to the property with a water feature. This area is a real sun trap in the summer months. There is a paved balcony off the living room on the 2nd floor with fabulous views towards Warkworth Castle. There is a double driveway to the front of the property. Utility Room: Washing machine and separate tumble drier. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are included. Bring own beach towels if required. Other: The master bedroom has great views of the Marina and coast. The ground floor bedroom has a smart TV. There is a 55" freesat smart TV in the main living area. Mobile reception through the house and fast broadband (up to 9 MB).

A luxurious, comfortable spacious home from home

This is a truly gorgeous property and the owners are such good communicators and come straight back to every query almost immediately. It's a fabulous,well equipped house with plenty of space, and a lovely outside area to the rear and parking for 2 cars to the front. The location is ideal for all the Northumberland coast and Amble itself has everything you could wish for, for a short break - supermarkets, pubs, restaurants and cafes, unique style shops, take-aways, cycle tracks, a small beach, an antique shop, lovely coastal walks etc. The owners leave you a lovely generous hamper of goodies, to start you off and the whole place is decorated and furnished to a very high standard.

Wonderful place to stay

This is a fantastic, spacious house with wonderful views on both sides out to sea and back onto Northumberland.

The house itself is clean, to a good spec and has everything you could need.

A great base to explore Amble, Warkworth, Alnwick etc...

We highly recommend a visit!

This property is fantastic as are it's lovely owners.

It's not often a place is bigger in real life than in the photographs! There were 3 couples and a little baby in our party, plus another couple for a few days, and we had tones of space. The house has so many nooks... the perfect spot upstairs for a sunny morning coffee looking out over the harbour, a lovely garden for lunch, a balcony that gets the evening sun for a pre dinner drink and a beautiful big dinning table for a family meal (The kitchen has everything you might need, we cooked every night)... not to mention the games room/garage.

The owners were so helpful at every stage of the process. When we arrived they had set up a travel cot for my daughter and even put a bedtime story book in there ready for us. They also left us a fantastic hamper of delicious goodies to enjoy during our stay.

The location is great, miles of sandy beaches and interesting historic towns and villages.

We all had a great stay and felt very at home. We highly recommend a visit!

Lovely, luxury holiday house!

We would certainly highly recommend this peaceful, light, comfortable and welcoming house for a holiday in Northumberland. The owners were very helpful before we went in answering queries and the house is well equipped with everything we needed and wanted for a relaxing family break with teenagers. The house is designed with amazing views over Amble marina and Warkworth castle, incredible skies and sunsets. You can easily walk into Amble for yummy fish and chips and local shops. Within a short drive there are beautiful beaches and places to explore.

A 3 night weekend or 4 night midweek short break are charged at 65% of the weekly rate. Additional nights charged pro rata of the remainder of the weekly rate.

Changeover Day:
