beautiful surroundings, lovely hosts, well appointed and comfortable cottage

  • 5 of 5

Our hosts were very flexible, we were greeted with milk in the fridge, half a dozen eggs, a lit log burner and a freshly made cake. The cottage was very clean, comfy beds and plenty of hot water. The cottage was easy to find and close to Church Stretton. There was walking directly from the cottage and the house was well equipped with maps and suggested walks. The bird feeders attracted lots of birds which were lovely to watch over breakfast. I can't think of anything which would have made it better and recommend it as a great place to stay. Thank you for our lovely stay.

Lovely cottage, in beautiful location. Very clean and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

The cottage is down a narrow lane. The family who own it live next door and keep horses. They were very pleasant and friendly and the cottage was beautifully maintained and very comfortable. We were greeted with the basics for a brew, a cake and half a dozen fresh farm eggs. Lovely! The yard was full of swallows and house martins flying in and out of the barns and stables. Finches and Tits regularly came to the bird table, as well as Robins and a Nuthatch. The hens were also around and a couple of doves and pheasants.

I would definitely recommend this property to anyone who wants somewhere quiet and comfortable with lovely views and birds. Church Stretton is about 8 minutes away in the car. Carding Mill Valley is great for walkers, and is only 10 minutes away by car. The location is also within easy driving distance of Telford, Bridgenorth, Ironbridge and Ludlow. Great pub for meals out is the Green Dragon in Little Stretton. For afternoon tea, Jemimas in Church Stretton, and various other little tshops I can't quite remember the names of.

Beautiful Cottage In Fantastic Surroundings

  • 5 of 5

We were attracted to this property for its log burner, comfy furnishings and beautiful scenery. We went for a short weekend break just to get away and relax. We had a lovely welcome by the owners with a cosy log fire lit for our late arrival. The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed, the furniture and bed very comfortable, beautiful birds to watch from the window. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay despite the rain, great area for walking and exploring the hills, we cant way to go back for a week so we can see more of the area in summer.
