This first floor apartment is on the corner of the block so enjoys a number of double aspect views. The large west facing balcony offers distant sea views, sunshine in the afternoon and beautiful sunsets. At the rear is a smaller east facing balcony accessible from both bedrooms. This balcony gets the sun in the morning and overlooks the well-kept gardens and large communal swimming pool (including baby pool) which is perfect for families with children.

About the Owner

This is a family owned apartment and we first visited Cala'n Porter in 1997 when our children were 6, 7 and 9 years old. Cala'n Porter offered us everything we needed as a family. With our eldest now in his late-twenties, we all still enjoy visiting the apartment with family and friends. It really is the ideal place for any age to relax in the sunshine. My eldest daughter Jess looks after the bookings and will be able to help you with any questions you have about your stay.

Clean & tidy apartment

Well positioned first floor apartment with lovely sunny balconies, a view of the sea in the distance on one side & pool from the other. Beautiful gardens with clean pool, quiet too. Apartment block a short walk to local restaurants & shops in Cala n Porter. Easy access to the beach but not so easy on the return journey with all those steps!

Amazing !

Being the first time we had booked via Owners Direct, we were naturally anxious about what we’d get... We knew the resort from having stayed there 4 years ago. That time we had booked with Siesta Mar complex and had a nice flat but not very basically equipped.

So, as we knew the resort, we wanted the same type of flat, better situated and equipped. Well, this was absolutely perfect. The flat is lovely, very well kitted out and immaculate. With sea views to Mallorca on the main balcony/terrace, pool view on the other side and bedrooms on the quiet side, it was wonderful. It is not overlooked by any other flat so really private.

The owners were very helpful. We haven’t actually spoken to each other but were in regular contact by e-mail. Their contact/Manager in Menorca was also great. We needed some extra sheets and within a couple of hours from my text, he was around at the flat.

Another concern was that there were only 2 comments on Owners Direct when we booked... I have now decided that it must be because people don’t want to publicise their amazing stay in case it gets so popular that it becomes difficult to book.

Will definitely recommend to friends and family.

PS: as another guest has mentioned in her review – my husband also commented that there were the best towels ever !!!

Return to Siesta Mar

Great little 2 bedroom apartment in Siesta Mar 1. Fantastic views from the front balcony out towards the sea and from the back balcony over the pool. We would certainly use this apartment again and Jess and Nick were terrific to deal with. Best food we had during our stay was at the Castle Restaurant and at 16.95 per person for 3 courses including wine!!

Clean,tidy and airy apartment with sea view.

Great location

Apartment was very clean with the best towels I've used in an apartment/hotel. Location is perfect across the road to the beach steps, short walk through to restaurants etc. this is best apartment I have stayed in in the siestamar setting having a quiet location still being able to look at the pool from one balcony to to having a lovely view of sea on the larger balcony.

I will defiantly stay in this apartment again.

Owner provided excellent customer service with answers to any questions with a very quick reply.

Location

From the Owner

We bought our apartment after enjoying so many holidays in Siesta Mar 1. With the apartment only being 15 minutes from Mahon airport and only a two hour flight from London the journey was really easy with young children. The beach has always been a big draw, the steps option has 180 steps (which was always a bit of a competition) so we always liked to walk down and take the road up. The locals make you feel very welcome and the restaurant staff speak perfect English and are very attentive. During peak time, there is entertainment in the evenings at the restaurant ‘Sa Paissa’ which is always enjoyable for all.

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

Cala'n Porter has a white sand beach set in a horse shoe shaped cove. The beach is approximately 10 minutes away and is reached either by road or steps. The beach strip is well equipped with toilets, shops, restaurants and bars and the beach itself has rentable sun loungers and pedaloes

Travel:

Mahon airport is approximately 15 minutes by car/taxi. The capital, Mahon is approximately 25 minutes away by car and there is a regular and reliable (air conditioned) bus service. The bus stop is only a few minutes’ walk from the apartment. If you wish to see all the sights Menorca has to offer then we recommend hiring a car.

Distances:

Cala'n Porter town centre is a 2 minute walk away with supermarkets, shops, restaurants, bars, cashpoint and pharmacy

Further Details:

Cala'n Porter is well known for its famous Cova dén Xoroi nightclub, built into the cliff face, which is a short walk from the apartment. We recommend visiting this attraction during the day to take in the caves surroundings and spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea

Change over day is Friday. On arrival the apartment will be available from 4pm local time and needs to be vacated by 10am local time on departure

From the Owner

The location is definitely the best part about the apartment. When our children were young, the back balcony allowed us to let them go to the pool and we could watch them while they played. The front balcony has a sea view and the sun until late into the evening - the sun sets are beautiful! The apartment has the extra security of being on the first floor and being on the corner has the benefit of additional windows in the living area and the second bedroom making it light and airy.

Siesta Mar 2 facilities are open to guests at Siesta Mar 1. For multi week stays a change is made every 7 days Other: Double folding doors lead onto the front balcony with table and chairs. Two sun loungers provided.
