This first floor apartment is on the corner of the block so enjoys a number of double aspect views. The large front (west facing) balcony offers sea views, sunshine in the afternoon and beautiful sunsets. At the rear is a smaller (east facing) balcony accessible from both bedrooms. This balcony gets the sun in the morning and overlooks the well-kept gardens and large communal swimming pool (including baby pool) which is perfect for families with children.

Please note our changeover day is Friday (10am departure and 4pm arrival)

About Nick and Jess Broad

This is a family owned apartment and we first visited Cala'n Porter in 1997 when our children were 6, 7 and 9 years old. Cala'n Porter offered us everything we needed as a family. With our eldest now in his late-twenties, we all still enjoy visiting the apartment with family and friends. It really is the ideal place for any age to relax in the sunshine.

My eldest daughter Jess looks after the bookings and will be able to help you with any questions you have about your stay.

Why Nick and Jess Broad chose Calan Porter

We bought our apartment after enjoying so many holidays in Siesta Mar 1. With the apartment only being 15 minutes from Mahon airport and only a two hour flight from London the journey was really easy with young children. The beach has always been a big draw, the steps option has 180 steps (which was always a bit of a competition) so we always liked to walk down and take the road up. The locals make you feel very welcome and the restaurant staff speak perfect English and are very attentive. During peak time, there is entertainment in the evenings at the restaurant ‘Sa Paissa’ which is always enjoyable for all.

What makes this apartment unique

The location is definitely the best part about the apartment. When our children were young, the back balcony allowed us to let them go to the pool and we could watch them while they played. The front balcony has a sea view and the sun until late into the evening - the sun sets are beautiful! The apartment has the extra security of being on the first floor and being on the corner has the benefit of additional windows in the living area and the second bedroom making it light and airy.

Notes on accommodation: A lovely holiday home for anybody wanting to relax in the sunshine. The apartment is situated only 15 minutes from Mahon airport in a central location with supermarkets, shops, restaurants, bars, cashpoint and pharmacy on your doorstop. The beach is approximately a 10 minute walk away accessed either by road or steps Outside: For those who wish to hire a car, cars can be parked on the road directly in front of the apartment. The large communal swimming pool has a small children’s paddling pool which is separated by railings. The apartment complex is set in well-kept gardens with lots of grass space for sun bathing or playing ball games. There is also a play area for children. Siesta Mar 2 facilities are open to guests at Siesta Mar 1. You can use the swimming pools, the water slides and the laundrette Cleaning / Towels / Linen service: Bath, hand and tea towels are included as well as bed linen. For multi week stays a change is made every 7 days Other: Double folding doors lead onto the front balcony with table and chairs. Two sun loungers provided. Doors and windows have shutters which are ideal for letting the breeze through whist keeping the sun out. Back balcony has small retractable clothes line

Lovely property, perfect position.

We've just returned from a wonderful family holiday with our 2yr old and and 4yr old. The apartment was excellent with nothing to fault. Nice and peaceful, with great views of the sunset to the front, lovely to sit on the balcony with a glass or two after the nippers were in bed. It was very comfortable to stay in and it's position was spot on. 5 mins walk to the beach steps, supermarket and restaurants. Good size pool outside and a couple of minutes walk to the Siesta Mar 2 pools and water slides which our eldest 'dragged' me on daily. To echo previous reviews, the owners, Nick & Jess were a pleasure to deal with, very helpful and kept in good contact. Martin, the local manager was also on hand and very helpful. Great property and our best holiday in years, we would love to return.

Tranquil break

We booked this apartment as we wanted a relaxing holiday to sit back and recharge, and that is exactly what we got. Lovely clean and well equipped apartment with quiet pool area, two spacious balconies so you can take your pick depending on if you want sun or shade, sea view from one balcony and pool view from the other. Located 5mins walk away from the center of cala en porter and its bars and restaurants. the bus stop to Mahon again is only 5 mins away. There is no Wifi at the apartment which we found pleasantly liberating (after the initial shock). We would definitely visit Ca En Porter again and would recommend this apartment.

Nice apartment.

A good sized apartment with more than adequate outsize space. The kitchen is compact but enough for what we needed. Good security and quiet location. Great position for bars and restaurants.

Comfy beds and plenty of towels.

Ideally located family accomodation

We (family of four with 7 and 9 year olds) had a lovely week long stay stay in this apartment. The owners and management company seem very keen to make the arrangements as flexible and user friendly as they can. We were thrilled to be able to drop off our luggage not long after our 11 am arrival and check out the pools. The appartment was perfectly clean. Perhaps a little old fashioned in styling but that was a relief to us with messy kids. No air con but wasn't missed by us as the appartment benefits from clever positioning and was easy to keep naturally cool even in height of August. Lovely balcony for sundowners. Great proximity to the gorgeous beach and village amenities. We only needed to call on the manager once but he was prompt and good humoured even early on Sunday morning!

Would recommend this as perfect base for families (as long as all able bodied!) Shout out to the Aloha Bar for great cocktails and welcome for all ages.

Well located, clean and tidy apartment

The apartment is a little dated but was well presented, clean, had comfy beds and all that you would need for a great holiday. Siesta Mar apartments are very well located close to the beach, restaurants, and supermarket. The loungers to take to the pool were a godsend. The balconies both had great outlooks, great for enjoying an evening drink. We all had a fabulous holiday, the kids are already trying to arrange their return!

Cala'n Porter has a white sand beach set in a horse shoe shaped cove. The beach is approximately 10 minutes away and is reached either by road or steps. The beach strip is well equipped with toilets, shops, restaurants and bars and the beach itself has rentable sun loungers and pedaloes


Mahon airport is approximately 15 minutes by car/taxi. The capital, Mahon is approximately 25 minutes away by car and there is a regular and reliable (air conditioned) bus service. The bus stop is only a few minutes’ walk from the apartment. If you wish to see all the sights Menorca has to offer then we recommend hiring a car.


Cala'n Porter town centre is a 2 minute walk away with supermarkets, shops, restaurants, bars, cashpoint and pharmacy

Further Details:

Cala'n Porter is well known for its famous Cova dén Xoroi nightclub, built into the cliff face, which is a short walk from the apartment. We recommend visiting this attraction during the day to take in the caves surroundings and spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea

If making a booking via 'Request to book' you will be charged Owners Direct's service fee on your credit card. Please note we do not accept payment by credit card. We will contact you directly for payment and we accept bank transfer, PayPal or cheque.

A non-refundable booking deposit of £100 will secure your booking and the remaining payment is due four weeks (29 days) prior to arrival. One week before this we will phone you as a reminder and to answer any questions you may have about the apartment or Cala'n Porter.

Changeover day:
Change over day is Friday. On arrival the apartment will be available from 4pm local time and needs to be vacated by 10am local time on departure
