Summerhaven is a stunning contemporary holiday home built to the highest standards and minutes from the charming village of Little Haven, Pembrokeshire. Completed in 2013 this architect designed eco-house is reached by 49 steps up through its private, wooded hill-side garden. The house is designed to make the most of the superb view over a quiet wooded valley with a glass wall opening onto the railed balcony. Unwind and relax in the light, open plan living space and explore beautiful Pembrokeshire from this perfectly positioned village location. Little Haven offers a range of quality pubs, restaurants and cafes and neighbouring Broad Haven has a small general store, beach shops and a surf hire centre. Both Havens communities welcome visitors with seasonal events, art exhibitions and festivals to enjoy. Whether you want to enjoy the summer sandcastle competition or join the bracing New Years Day swim there is always something interesting to do and see. Pembrokeshire is a beautiful, unspoilt county with many attractions. Walkers can access the stunning coastal path from the village. All the water sports are available locally including some of the very best surfing beaches. Visitors will find a huge choice of outdoor activities including horse riding, golf, climbing, coasteering and diving.

About Clive Anstey

Our family have been holidaying in Pembrokeshire for over 10 years and never tire of the beauty, variety and peace to be found here. It is truly an undiscovered gem where you can escape to the golden sandy beaches along quiet roads and yet all is within easy reach of the M4.

As our children have grown they have graduated from exploring rock pools to enjoying the adrenalin rush of coasteering, surfing, riding and climbing. There really is something for everyone here.

Why Clive Anstey chose St Brides Bay, St Davids & The West Coast

Summerhaven was designed and built on the site of a cedarwood chalet by local architects and building contractors and we completed our 'dream project' late in 2013. Summerhaven is now our 'home from home' and we are delighted to invite other families to come and discover the unspoilt and beautiful county of Pembrokeshire.

Little Haven is beautifully placed to explore Pembrokeshire. Nestled in the corner of St Brides's bay you have easy access to the whole county, including the matchless coastal path, whilst staying in the welcoming and well appointed village. Summerhaven offers a unique contemporary living space to relax in at the end of a busy day exploring.

Location

Coast/Beach:

Little Haven beach is sandy and safe. At low tide the beach joins with neighbouring Broad Haven's Blue Flag beach by almost a mile of golden sand. Life guards are stationed on Broad Haven during the summer months. Rockpools have a huge variety of small sea creatures to discover and the beach is great for safe surf activities and swimming.

Whilst Little Haven is tucked away in St Bride's bay it is easy to reach the bustling shopping centres in Haverfordwest, Tenby and St David's where supermarkets, galleries, farmers markets and seasonal events may be found.

Notes on accommodation: Please note there are 49 steps up to the house. These are broad and shallow. Outside: The woodland garden is natural and unlandscaped. Abundant bird-life in the surrounding trees makes this a perfect place for casual 'twitchers'. A small balcony area outside and outdoor furniture is available to seat 4 persons. Utility Room: A small utility area for drying general laundry / damp coats. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed and kitchen linen is provided and changed weekly. Please provide your own bathroom and beach towels.

Outstanding House and Location

Summer Haven is a beautiful, tranquil, place to stay. Nestled high out of sight, it's vista spans a canopy of trees in a small wooded valley. Birds alight on the feeders outside the windows and one may encounter Owls, Pheasants, and Wood Peckers.

The house is immaculate, light, modern, and spacious with picture windows the length of the main room. All furniture and fittings are high quality but equally there are many small personal touches. The main room has a lovely feel, especially as the sun streams in during the morning. It reminded me of the cloud house in the film Oblivion.

On the door step is a lovely 40 minute circular walk up a woodland path to the brow of a small hill where one has breathtaking views across the bay. One then follows a quiet road down to Little Haven Beach. Our dog loved it. It's a great dog place.

The Village of Little Haven is straight from 'Under Milk Wood'. Very small and cute. People say hello as they pass in the street but it's a holiday and retirement area so not a traditional working Welsh Village. Sadly you won't encounter Captain Cat or Organ Morgan these days but you will meet friendly, genuine, people who have been attracted there.

Basically it's the perfect place to stay and visit. You will enjoy!

Fell in love with this one!

It was a real privilege to stay at Summer Haven. The design of the house itself is truly amazing with great attention to detail and everything you could possibly need. Set on a hillside and surrounded by trees, this place is very secluded and blissfully peaceful. The location is excellent and the owners have left a book with plenty of ideas for days out, walks etc. Families or couples couldn't fail to fall in love with this place. Thank you!

We had a fantastic stay at this property. It's spotlessly clean, modern, spacious and comfortable, it has everything you need for a relaxing self catering break. The location is stunning, very close to the sea and there are 3 pubs that serve delicious meals just a few minutes away by foot. I would happily stay here again and recommend to others, thanks Clive!

If you want a peaceful retreat with wonderful accommodation this is it. We had an amazing week with fortunately perfect weather to come home to this lovely property at the end of each day was perfect. Highly recommended. Three great pubs in village so if you are not lighting the BBQ you have enough choice locally. A perfect week. Many thanks to Clive and Shiela for their beautiful home.
