About the property

Cottage near Wadebridge, Cornwall, England - Peaceful, Romantic And A Short Drive To The Beach

Sister cottage to property 18015 the Mill is a stunning bolt hole set amongst the wilds of North Cornwall. Hustyn Mill is perfectly located for a stunning break in Cornwall. Perched on the edge of the valley overlooking Hustyn woods, Hustyn Mill is the perfect place to come and relax and wind down from the stress of everyday life. Positioned within striking distance of both the dramatic North coast and the soft undulating hills of the south but we don't think you'll want to be going anywhere for the first couple of days!

About Richard Pack

We're Richard and Niki and have a young family. Richard is a photographer and Niki is a producer and trainer of young event horses.

Richard was bought up in Cornwall in the very house they now live in, Niki is from just outside Cirencester in Gloucestershire.

We are passionate about where we live and can't wait to share it with others.

Whether it's spring, summer, autumn or winter, there's so much to do around here.

We look forward to meeting you.

Richard and Niki

Why Richard Pack chose Cornwall

Richard grew up there but that I aside, we couldn't find anywhere more peaceful or beautiful. It's perfectly remote yet only three miles from the supermarket ! Close to the North and South coasts and out of the craziness of mid summer !

What makes this cottage unique

It truly is unique, you'll struggle to find a Cornish gem better than this one. Whether you love, walking, cycling, surfing or just plain chilling !

Perfect for a relaxing Christmas break

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the Mill for 4 nights over Christmas and weren't disappointed. The property is beautiful, very well finished, and set in wonderful surroundings. Every detail has been thought of and the kitchen is really well stocked - all the equipment you need to make a Christmas dinner!

Richard was very accommodating and was quick to respond when/if we needed anything.

We will definitely book again in the future!

Amazing find

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at The Mill for a peaceful break after Christmas. It was perfect! The location is perfect for a quiet break away from it all. Views are stunning. The Mill itself is stylish and cosy. Has everything you need, bed is comfy, has underfloor heating upstairs (perfect when getting out of bed in the cold) and the bath is large which was perfect for a soak after exploring the woods all day. We took our dog and there are plenty of walks directly from your doorstep! We enjoyed walking through the grounds and further into the woods. Also a short drive to beaches and costal walks.

Richard was very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. Lovely personal touches, biscuits, milk in the fridge, packet of toiletries (which smelt amazing!) we would definitely recommend this place to escape from it all! And will be returning.

Very interested in staying here with our family as we love the outdoors and the location is perfect for bike rides and with acres of outdoors space our kids would have a blast! Glamping tents look fantastic, definitely worth a visit to the website. Hoping to book soon.

Peaceful

  • 5 of 5

If you want peace and quiet look no further. Richard is a very good, attentive host but only when you need him. The rest of the time he blends into the background, working on the farm. The Mill has been very tastefully restored with very good quality fixtures and fittings. Lovely comfy bed, which to me, with arthritis in my spine, is very important. Loved the log burner, lit it twice, took me back to my childhood. As someone else has said, the roads are a bit tricky in places, a lot of single track, twisty roads. Can thoroughly recommend the Mill and the owners.

Fantastic stay in tranquil surroundings

  • 5 of 5

We were just settling into the Mill House when Richard the owner arrived and offered us an upgrade so we ended up staying in Dibble Cottage.

We would have been more than happy to stay in the Mill House as it is exactly as advertised and is quite special.

But never one to refuse an upgrade we moved over to Dibble Cottage. Again superb accommodation with an ideal appeal of modern, clean and stylish decoration with a rustic twist.

The under floor heating makes it very cosy. Richard also delivered us a basket of logs for the log burner which we had great fun with getting cosy in the evenings. Everything spotlessly clean and the bathroom a real touch of luxury.

We were able to borrow bikes from Richard and follow his instruction's which took us through Hustyn Woods onto the Camel trail and into Padstow.

We really enjoyed the seclusion of the property and the peace and quiet. A real retreat although not difficult to get to many of the places popular to visit.

Thanks for a great staycation

Total getaway from it all. Complete luxury in a beautiful setting. Kitchen is fantasic, with everything you could possibly need. Richard is a fantastic host, on hand if you need help but values your privacy. We would definately go back.
