About the Owner

We are the Jones Family,my name is Vicky, my husband is Jason we have two boys Lewis and Max, and a dog called Scooby. We have lived in this area all our lives. We love it here as it is quiet and secluded a perfect way of life for our family. With the coastline and lovely sandy beaches with its surf only five minutes away which the boys really enjoy.

Our aim is to provide a relaxing and comfortable stay, and to treat our guests like we would like to be treated on holiday.

Guestbook comments from the owner

A wonderful holiday and fantastic place to stay! The cottage was even better than the photo's which looked lovely! The hosts were great, always on hand if we needed anything. We hope to return again in the future! The area is fab for exploring Devon and Cornwall. We recommend eating at The Tree Inn in Stratton and Herbasca in Bude. Thanks so much, hope to see you again some day. Alex, Mat & Christian, Sep 2013

PERFECT holiday. Well thought out beautifully presented barn conversion. Superb, quiet location, ideal for exploring the area. Bude beaches superb for the little ones, who love it so much here (what they call the new house) that they don't want to leave! Thank you to the owners for being such lovely hosts. In the background, but there if we needed you! looking forward to coming again! Ernest Louise & family, Aug 2013

Many thanks to our hosts for making us so welcome in this beautiful barn conversion, well equipped and to a five star standard. Ann, Mike Norma & Bill, Oct 2013

We had a fantastic stay at the property. It is immaculate and very well presented with everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. It is ideally located to explore the sights of Cornwall with beaches within 10 mins driving distance. A perfect property for couples and families with 2 bright and very comfortable bedrooms.Would highly recommend and would love to return again for another break.

Great place to stay and a warm welcome

  • 5 of 5

We had great week staying at Roof Tops. Vicky and Jason were so nice and welcoming and nothing was to much trouble. The property has been beautifully restored and was a perfect location for a holiday near the coast. We absolutely loved it as did our children and we would have no hesitation in recommending it to others, I'm sure we'll be back!!

'Home from home'

We had a fantastic stay at rooftops. The barn conversion is in a quiet spot at the end of the village. It is very clean and well equipped. It is a great base for exploring north Cornwall/south Devon. The coastline is beautiful with some lovely beaches, not to mention the restaurants and cafe's. We cycled part of the Tarka trail, which was lovely. We had a very memorable holiday and would love to return. Highly recommend this property.

Outstanding Property

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Rooftops in June 2015 and we had an absolutely wonderful week. The standard of the property did not disappoint and everything was of the highest quality. It is the one of our top three properties that we have ever stayed in and will book another week in the very near future.

Thank you once again

Rooftops review

  • 5 of 5

Have just returned from Rooftops and can't wait to go back again. Spotlessly clean and everything you need.It is definitely one of the best places we've stayed in. Secluded and very quiet. Vicky and Jason are lovely and are on hand for any emergencies but very respectful of your privacy. Booked again for the beginning of May.

Perfect spot in North Cornwall

  • 5 of 5

A modern first class barn conversion, pretty much everything you need and any problems or local info required Jason and Vicky were on hand and only too pleased to help, nice people and perfect hosts. Stratton is a nice friendly village with a well stocked local shop open every day and two good pubs, Kings head has a good quiz night on Tuesday and The Tree had one of the best steak and mushroom puddings I have had :). Very dog friendly but be aware dogs are not allowed downstairs in the Barn. Had a wonderful time and would definitely visit again. Well done Jason and Vicky, thank you for a lovely time.

Location

From the Owner

We have owned this property for five years, we fell in love with it the first time we viewed it especially for its location, seclusion and panoramic views. Situated on the edge of the quiet historic village of Stratton just off the A39 and being only five minutes from Bude, with all the amenities, especially the beaches. We have recently converted the old derelict barn to a very high standard self contained holiday cottage, with its own enclosed garden, and tranquil surroundings. Perfect base for exploring Devon and Cornwall.
