Apartment in Illogan Nr. Portreath, Cornwall, Ideally Located Within A 25 Minute Wooded Walk To The Beach And Easy Reach Of Popular Resort

The apartment was purpose built 7 years ago as a one bedroomed unit. It therefore benefits from double glazing, central heating and modern appliances. It is fully equipped for a super holiday. Super Fast Broadband WiFi included in the price. The price you see is the price you pay with no hidden charges for towels, bedding, cleaning, heating etc. There is off road parking at the apartment but the location is ideally situated for independent travellers, within easy reach of Newquay airport and Redruth coach and train station. This is a none smoking environment and unfortunately the accommodation is not suitable for pets. Cornwall's main artery road the A30 is approx 2 miles away giving easy access to all the popular resorts. There is a fully equipped kitchen and dinning table. 3 seater sofa and swivel reclining chair with foot stool, 40" TV and DVD with surround sound. Sony CD & radio, Blue tooth speaker. South facing balcony with small table and chairs for alfresco dinning, 2 wicker cushioned chairs and parasol. The bedroom has 2 single electric beds with memory form mattresses, TV, DAB radio, hair dryer, plenty of hanging space and 2 sets of drawers, ceiling fan and en suite shower room with toilet, basin, shaver socket and heated towel rail. The property is suitable for baby with travel cot, baby bath, high chair etc all available and included in price.

Why Ivan Yates chose Camborne, Redruth & Hayle

We fell in love with the village of Illogan years ago as it has everything you need is quite and peaceful but still within walking distance of a great beach and central to all the popular resorts such as St Ives and Falmouth. Illogan retains it charm with local business and a great local pub. The north coastal footpath is dramatic and we never tire of its stunning beauty. We built the annex some 7 years ago to be an independent unit for visiting family and friends that has been a huge success that we would now like to share more widely.

Notes on accommodation: Although this is a one bedroomed apartment a baby would be welcome with a travel cot and high chair available. Outside: The apartment benefits from the outside space of a south facing sun trap balcony with chairs and small dinning table. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen (sheets and duvet covers) and towels are included. The apartment will be thoroughly cleaned to a high standard. A change of linen and towels will be provided for fortnightly stays. Beach towels are not included. Other: On the balcony there are two cushioned wicker chairs and a parasol. There is also a small table and two chairs to enjoy alfresco dining or a glass of wine whilst enjoying the view.

Beautiful, modern apartment. Extremely well equiped, comfortable and spotlessly clean.

The apartment is well situated for exploring the whole of Cornwall. The owners of the apartment Ivan and Veronica are so welcoming and thoughtful... milk in fridge and cornish cookies for our arrival!!

The apartment was of an extremely high standard with lovely furnishings, a great south facing balcony with a beautiful view. We were very happy to return each evening knowing we could relax in comfort.

The local pub served amazing food and the fish and chip shop was exceptional.

We would highly recommend a stay in this apartment and if we return to Cornwall we would love to stay here again.

Absolutely fantastic - top class, comfortable and well located for exploring Cornwall - loved it.

Property equipped with everything you could possibly ask for. Decoration and facilities of the highest standard. Owners friendly and provided so many lovely welcoming and personal touches. Sunny balcony, a wonderful place to relax. TV, Music, WI FI systems all excellent. Well maintained, super clean and quality accommodation. Would highly recommend this apartment for anyone, wanting a high quality home from home in Cornwall!

Great apartment and great location

We found the apartment to be really well equipped, modern and having the balcony was a great feature. We had lovely weather for almost the whole week which obviously helped. We found the location ideal for exploring that part of the Cornish coastline

We would recommend to anyone, the owners were really friendly and available without being intrusive

A great place to stay

We received a very friendly greeting from Ivan & Veronica who showed us in and explained things. The apartment is equipped to a high standard with all you would need and was very clean and comfortable. We would have no reservations recommending it to anyone. Just be aware that it is a first floor apartment with stairs, and stairs to 2nd floor bedroom.

The closest beach is the stunning beach of Portreath which is a 5 minute drive or a 25 minute walk away through a beautiful wooded valley. It has a historic harbour, super cafes and great surf. The beach is life guard patrolled in the summer months and at low tide it has many rock pools to explore. Many other superb beaches that Cornwall has to offer are easily accessible from here. Cornwall's coastal footpath is close-by providing the dramatic scenery of the north coast never to be forgotten.


The apartment is just a 5 minutes drive from Cornwall's main road of the A30. Newquay is the nearest airport and Redruth the nearest train and bus station. A pick up and drop off service can be arranged for people who wish to arrive by public transport. Local bus services enable access throughout the County, the nearest bus stop is within a couple of minutes walk.

Illogan is a self contained village with a post office, chemist and pharmacy, GP, small co-op supermarket, takeaway, hairdressers, bakery, and village pub serving great food. All within easy walking distance. The historic mining towns of Redruth and Camborne are approximately 3 miles away. Large supermarkets and a thriving leisure centre are within 2 miles. Details of nearby attractions are provided in the apartment.

Tehidy Country Park is the largest area of woodland in West Cornwall. Now managed as a Country Park, Tehidy has over 9 miles (14.5km) of paths and 250 acres of peaceful woods and lakes to explore, together with a café and a picnic area. There are 5 main access points including North Cliff car park, and South Drive car park and nearest being within 1 mile.

Within 2 miles, 'Heartlands' is Cornwall’s first free cultural playground on a grand scale. Covering 19 acres, there is so much to absorb, from the poetically landscaped botanical gardens to the interactive exhibitions that truly take you someplace else. This is a lightning bolt of fun in a forgotten part of Cornwall that was once the richest patch of land on earth.

Visitors will be expected to pay a £150 deposit/bond at the time of booking. Full payment to be made 4 weeks prior to arrival. Within 10 days of departure the bond will be returned in full if no damage incurred and the apartment is left reasonably clean. Note. all bookings are provisional until your booking form is accepted.

Changeover Day:
Changeover days are Saturdays. Arrival time 4pm onwards, departures by 10am please. However we are happy for you to phone in advance of arrival in order to check if the apartment is available for an early arrival.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
