Incredible!
We were a family group of 3 adults, 2 x 4yr olds and a 9yr old. An absolutely lovely villa in gorgeous surroundings. Pool is perfect, BBQ area is amazing and overall accommodation was fantastic! Local beach is so close and despite it being 43degrees was not crowded in the slightest! Local campsite has great bar/restaurant with mini golf, quad biking etc. Couldn’t figure the combi oven but we just BBQ’d everything! Supermarkets all within 10 mins drive so very handy. Mimizan was lovely 😊 English Sky TV was a bonus for the little ones (we only used it during a storm!). If you want a relaxed, easy going holiday with beach and forest walks...this is ideal! Top tip - walk along the beach towards Mimizan and find a ship wreck....it’s worth the walk! Liz the owner is lovely and Kathryn who looks after the property is equally as lovely! Some fabulous memories made!!

Very nice, well-equipped and quiet place
We spent a lovely and warm week in this house in Bias. The house is very well-equipped and has plenty of room for a family of two adults and two children. Bias is a nice and quite little town away from the busy tourist town, Mimizan. We had great weather and really enjoyed the pool. However, we experienced some problems with the chemicals in the pool as both our kids reacted to them. Kathryn attended to our concerns fast and professionally. Due to the sewage construction of French houses (we were told) we also regularly had an unpleasant smell of sewer from one of the two bathrooms, especially when returning to the house after trips. All in all, we had a great week and can warmly recommend this house. For future rentals, an English version of the contract is recommended. Only a French version was presented to us.

Excellent location, helpful owner and manager, almost everything needed for a good family holiday.
The house was very well situated for access by car to several well guarded Atlantic beaches as well as the lake at Mimizan, and the owner told us about an excellent bike hire shop at Contis Plage. The cycle paths in the area are many, beautiful and peaceful and we were also able to use the bikes which belong to the property. Summer in small French towns is always a delight as there are so many local festivals, shows, events taking place, and everything is well publicized. We ate all our meals on the decking area, and spent many happy hours in the pool. It would have been helpful if the BBQ and bikes had been cleaned before our visit, and also if there was an easily accessible folder with up to date tourist information, emergency doctor, hospital and pharmacy numbers, instructions on how to use the kitchen appliances and TV etc. The area is extrtemely peaceful and we all wished we were staying for longer than a week.

Me & my wife and 4 children, comfortable stayed at this lovely property, very clean and today with a fantastic pool. All rooms are of a very good standard. Local walks and bike riding areas are all within a few minutes. A car is a must really to shop or a beach day. We would definitely return to this property.

I live in SW England with my twin boys. We spend most of our holidays in Southern France, where we have made amazing friends and have really fallen in love with the country, especially the beaches and forests.

Built in 2012 from our own design, It`s a comfortable, practical home from home.

We love Bias because although quiet, it boasts some fantastic facilities nearby. There are beautiful beaches, surf, forests, activities (high ropes/horse riding/ cycling) and a great range of easily accessible bars and restaurants. There really is something for everyone here.

The area is easily accessible with Bordeaux airport just over an hour away.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with the area due to its beautiful, long, uncrowded beaches and plentiful surf. There are several activity centres nearby offering horse riding, paint-ball and high ropes. There are miles of beautiful forest accessible on newly built cycle tracks linking all local beaches.
Bias is quiet enough to escape the crowds, but only 5km from the nearest beach and a short drive to the lively local town of Mimizan. There is an abundance of good bars and restaurants all within a short distance. Mimizan has some lively festivals and is an interesting, friendly place.
The drive from Bordeaux airport takes just over an hour and is simple and stress free.

What makes this property unique

The house is only just over 9 years old and is cool and spacious. It has its own lit pool and a sun deck, with loungers and covered terrace, where you can relax. There is a separate relaxation area, with outdoor sofa's and a gas fired BBQ. There is another separate Alfresco dining area, with an outdoor dining table on comfy chairs that can accommodate up to 8 people. In addition there is a spacious garden great for children to play in, with the added benefit of a full sized ping pong table.
There is internet, a DVD player and satellite TV within a comfortable lounge/dining area.
The accommodation has 3 bedrooms with the master having its own walk in shower en-suite. The main bathroom has a walk in shower and twin sinks. There are two double beds and a bunk bed in the third bedroom (replacing for two singles which can be made a double for Summer 2020). The lounge has a double sofa bed giving versatile arrangements.
The kitchen has a hob, combination oven, coffee machine, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. There is also a washing machine. The house has central heating, automatic venting and even remote control heated towel rails!
Everything you are likely to need is provided :)
