Villa Diamantus Golf Townhouse in Vilamoura, Central Algarve, Portugal - AL - Peaceful Location Beside The 4th Of The Millennium Golf Course, 5 Minutes Drive To Vilamoura Marina

A really lovely modern 4 (2+2) bedroom, air-conditioned townhouse, situated in a small complex with private gardens, a large swimming pool with children's pool. Very comfortably furnished and fitted, this town house offers an excellent holiday home. A peaceful location beside the 4th Fairway of the Millennium Golf Course and just 5 minutes drive from Vilamoura Marina, beautiful beaches and 6 top class golf courses. There are 2 bedrooms in the upper floor, both with en-suite bathrooms and an additional 2 bedrooms in the lower ground floor with a shared shower room, plus there is a Guest WC on the ground floor. Sleeps maximum 8 people. The spacious lounge has a lovely corner suite and 2 x arm chairs and dining table accommodates up to six people. Flat-screen TV with some Free view English-speaking satellite channels and a receiver box for Portuguese TV channels too, DVD player and satellite free wi-fi installed for netflix, Skype, or general web browsing during your holiday. The patio doors lead out onto a lovely furnished terrace with the view of and direct access to the beautiful swimming pool area. Fully fitted kitchen with all modern appliances including oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Breakfast table and 6 chairs with patio doors leading onto the back terrace which overlooks the Millennium golf course and has a BBQ and lovely stone table and benches seating 8 people for outdoor eating and relaxing. There is a travel cot and a high chair available for guests to use. Property has secure off street parking.

Vilamoura is a beautiful place to be with the hugely popular Marina at its centre, white sandy beaches and Roman ruins to visit too! There is an abundance of night-life with fantastic restaurants, bars, nightclubs and an impressive Casino. Chic shopping can be done around the Marina area. In Vilamoura area alone there are 6 courses and nearby you also have the Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago courses. You also have the Family Golf Park Mini Golf, the Vilamoura Tennis Club and the Lawn Bowls Club. In Vilamoura there is something to do for everyone at all times of the year. In the next door town of Quarteira there are daily fish and fresh produce markets plus a weekly Gypsy Market. I know you'll have a wonderful stay in Vilamoura.

I highly recommend this place. I have rented the property 4 times and would have no hesitation doing so again. There is plenty of accommodation, with 4 double bedrooms, and plenty of space.

On my last trip, we had two families and this worked out perfectly as one family was able to occupy the upper floor and the other can take the lower ground floor.

Perhaps the best thing about this villa, is the dual aspect - to one side you overlook the pool and to the other there is the golf course. And of course as soon moves around, you can choose to be in full sun or the shade.

The kitchen is well equipped with easy access to patio and built in bbq.

I tend to go out of season, so it is quite a restful place away from the hubbub of the marina, but at same time only a matter of minutes drive to all the restaurants and amenities that you need. One year we went to the Portugal Golf Open and were able to walk home from it, it was so nearby.

Just off the main road - it is easy to get to many places, if you are the kind of person who wants to be out and about, but for me I constantly go back for the rest and sunshine and find plenty to occupy myself in comfort around the villa.

Lovely Family Holiday Villa

I rented this very spacious, clean and nicely furnished property from Norbert for our family holiday, I have three children and it was just perfect, the small pool was great for my youngest who was learning how to swim and the larger pool for all the rest of us. The villa has everything you need to cook and enjoy alfesco in the evening outside the bbq area is just lovely overlooking the golf course and in the evening when the kids were in bed the balcony was lovely to have a glass of wine and take in the tranquility. My parents came out the second week and just loved the place too. It is located so close to the Marina and indeed to beautiful beaches of garro and an array of nice restaurants, shopping is also good close by in Quinta de Lago, Vale do Lobo and Guia. The owners provided information on local activities and attractions and we went to the waterpark, ZooMarine etc. We will be back and would have no hesitation on recommending the quality property!

Best villa we have ever rented

From the start we were impressed. The villa is just outside the town and within walking distance. Town rental bikes were on the street too. The area very clean. The main balcony off the kitchen faces out onto a golf course and U.S. not over looked. A great BBQ is built in so the first night was all set after a visit to the local shops. The villa is large with four very spacious bedrooms, 2 ensuite. Four balconys off the rooms. The back balcony has a garden off it and three steps beyond a large pool. The whole complex is extremely clean, in fact the cleanest we have ever been to. One of the best things about this villa was it gas everything you need. It's obvious the owners must visit sometimes because it's like a second home. We can be critical but can find no fault here. Highly recommend it to anyone. We all worry when we rent a villa that the hype and photos tell the whole story but in this case you can relax if booking.

The beaches are amazing and are great for kids and all the family, and the Marina is just so lovely to visit and enjoy. The Portuguese are also very nice and friendly and love kids, plus there are some beautiful places to explore all over the Algarve and Vilamoura is the perfect base in central Algarve to do this from. All of Vilamoura's fantastic amenities are easy to get to as the roads and the walking paths are so well maintained plus the cycling routes and the activity walkway in the middle of the main avenue towards the Marina encourages us to get out and about see the area better.

Activity and Interests


Both the Vilamoura and Quarteira beaches are fantastic with their lengthy promenades and beautiful golden sand. On one side of the marina entrance is the Falesia Beach extending for several miles westward, and on the other is the Marina beach which stretches eastward to meet with the Quarteira beach. It is approximately a 40 minute walk to the Marina area and Falesia beach or a 5 minute drive.


The nearest airport is Faro which is approximately 20 minutes drive.

Car hire is useful.


There are local cafes and restaurants around a 15/20 minute walk from the property.

Vilamoura Marina is accessible by car in under a 5 minute drive from the property and there is a also a very good local bus service that passes by close to this development which can take you to Albufeira and Faro and also to the next door town of Quarteira for the daily fish, fruit and veg markets and the Gypsy market every Wednesday morning.

Due to the size of the resort area it offers the visitor nearly every form of sport and entertainment, and Vilamoura Falesia beach has miles of golden sandy beach. Amongst the many attractions and facilities there are 6 world class golf courses, a beautiful Marina with fishing and leisure cruises, boat and jet ski hire, there is also a Lawn Bowling Club, a Tennis Centre, Browns Sports & Leisure Club, a Family Golf Park and an excellent Riding School, as well as an array of cafés, bars restaurants, nightclubs and an International Casino. Situated on the west side of the Marina there is a preserved Roman Site and Museum of Cerro da Vila providing an interesting glimpse into the past history of the area. In Roman times this location was important in producing a fish paste known as "garum". The ruins also include the baths in which the mariners used to bathe.

The neighbouring town of Quarteira was once upon a time small a fishing village (with a daily fishing market) that has since the 1960s blossomed into a bustling town, with the most colourful Gypsy Market every Wednesday morning which is great for gifts.

Both Browns Sports & Leisure Club and the Vilamoura Tennis Centre are less than a 5 minute drive from the property offering a huge range of leisure facilities with dining facilities too.

Also just under 10 minutes drive away is the Aquashow water and theme park which is excellent for all ages.

Having a walk around Vilamoura Marina is a must during your holidays! You can also go deep sea fishing or just have a lazy sail along the beautiful coastline on a boat or Catamaran. There are a few tourist trains doing the circuits of both Vilamoura and Quarteira including the beach and the Marina which run regularly in the summer. If you have a chance you can walk to any of the lovely golf course club houses just to have a coffee and watch out over the beautiful courses. There are also many wonderful 4 and 5 star hotels in Vilamoura which offer Spas and many other great facilities which are open to the public. The excellent Aquashow waterpark is a 5 minute car or taxi journey away and Zoomarine themepark is about 30 minutes by car.
