Cottage in Grasmere, Lake District, Cumbria, England - Set In Heart Of Grasmere Village With Its Many Cafes And Shops Surrounded By Mountains.

Bakery cottage is situated in Grasmere village centre near to restaurants, shops and pubs. It is a traditional Lakeland cottage that has been completely refurbished without losing its old world charm. It now boasts WiFi ,full central heating, new kitchen with dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave and washer/drier. The lounge area has flat screen colour T.V. DVD and CD with radio. Upstairs there is a luxury bathroom with whirlpool bath and separate shower, a well appointed four poster double bedroom. All bed linen and towels are provided. The cottage has private parking for 1 car at the rear and a small yard where you can sit out, there is free use of nearby indoor swimming pool. The cottage sleeps a maximum of 2 adults. Sorry no children. Smoking and pets not allowed Please note the cottage is cleaned and maintained by the owners who live in the village and are on hand if needed.

About the Owner

I went to the village school in Grasmere as have all my children we have been letting cottages in Grasmere for 20 years many of our guests are now friends returning year after year. We live in the village near the cottage and have a small outdoor shop in the village so are always on hand to offer any help or information you may need about the area. The cottage is cleaned and maintained by myself and my wife Diane.

Spotlessly clean, with everything you need for a perfect holiday! Park your car on arrival and don't get in it again until you leave. Walks from your door, with all the facilities in Grasmere you might need. Use of hotel pool a massive asset which the owners should make more of in their advert! We didn't realise what a treat it was after a days walking. As we also had miraculously brilliant hot sunny weather, drinks on the small patio in the evening before dinner..... Owners very helpful, but unobtrusive, just nice and friendly! Highly recommended to friends! Buses every few minutes to lots of other bits of Lakes if you want to explore.

My wife and I had the most enjoyable holiday with everything living up to our expectations. Bakery Cottage was spotless with first class amenities. Ideally situated for walks and with plenty of places to eat just a stroll away and a regular bus service if you want to give the car a holiday. The owner Martin Wood was on hand for any queries and was really helpful and friendly. We would thoroughly recommend this property - a first class 'home from home 'and we will certainly be back

Cosy cottage in Grasmere

My wife and I have just spent a week in Grasmere staying at the Bakery Cottage. It is a lovely, well presented and well-kept little cottage pretty much in the centre of the village. We could not have asked for a better place to base ourselves and from where to depart on our walking trips around the area. The owner - Martin Wood - was extremely helpful and friendly and we have no reservations at all in recommending this property to anyone looking for comfortable self-catering accommodation in Grasmere.

Grasmere is beautiful unspoilt village in the heart of the Lake district. Bakery cottage has all the benefits of a modern cottage but with all the charm of a tradition cottage with the benefit of car parking a rarity in village centre.The cottage is cleaned and maintained by the owners who have a shop near to the cottage if you should have any questions about the area or walks.

Travel:

Nearest airport is Manchester 80 miles South nearest train station is Windermere 7 miles. There is regular bus service in the village between Kendal and Keswick. A car is not essential but would be useful.

Distances:

Grasmere is in the centre of the Lake District 7 miles from Windermere and 8 miles from Keswick.

Further Details:

There is a Co Op in the village but nearest supermarket is Windermere. The village has a variety of pubs, cafes and restaurants.
