Beautifully presented apartment in a superb location
Fabulous 2 bedroom 2 bathroom ground floor apartment in Casares Del Sol, the lift from the underground car park leads to our luxuriously furnished apartment in a secure gated community, only a short stroll from the beach with it's own popular restaurant and bar. The apartment sleeps 4 and is air conditioned throughout (Hot/Cold). The apartment is situated on one of the most exclusive developments on the Costa Del Sol. There is a large pool with a smaller childrens pool set in beautiful award winning landscaped gardens. The lounge is furnished with beautiful brown leather suites with LCD TV and Freeview, the dining table seats 4 people. The kitchen has all the quality appliances you would expect. The patio doors lead onto a terrace for eating alfresco and overlooks the gardens, valley and mountains. (This the by far the finest block on the development for views and is not overlooked by any other apartment). There is a good selection of sun loungers and a BBQ is ready for use. All towels and linens are provided as well as a good selection of beach towels for your stay.

We took our two young children on holiday for 10 day's and this area and development was perfect. With it been a gated community my children were safe and the lifeguard at the pool meant we were comfortable leaving them to play on their own. Lots to do and see, the beach is close by and the beach bar and restaurants are very good quality. The property is very well maintained with high quality furnishings, nice and quiet on an evening. The apartment represented excellen value for money. We have stayed in cheaper apartments but none have been anywhere near as good as this one

Lovely apartment, real home from home, well equipped and comfortable. Very peaceful spot, wonderful pool. Yet just a short walk down the hill and you have buses to everywhere. Very cheap travel too. Pleasant half hour walk to small town of Sabinillas and all amenities you need.
Comfortable well equipped apartment
We (2 adults and a teenager) stayed at Casares del Sol as it was close to the Urbanizacion that my parents live on. Communication with Allan the owner ahead of the holiday was prompt and straightforward. We were met by Bob and Suzanne on the day of our arrival with the keys and they showed us round the accommodation.
The apartment was spotlessly clean and spacious enough for our needs but not large. The outside terrace was fairly limited and only just managed to seat the 3 of us comfortably for breakfast this wasn't a huge issue for us as we didn't spend our days at the apartment.
The facilities in the apartment were all in good working order, the TV had plenty of UK channels and the WiFi worked seamlessly (very important to a teenager!) and the air con was efficient. The kitchen is VERY well equipped and we commented on how many utensils, cutlery and kitchen equipment there is in a fairly compact kitchen.
The beds were comfortable and the showers were just the right level of water pressure so all in all we were happy.
There was a gate close to the apartment that lead to the urbanizacion my parents live on and it is supposed to be locked from 10pm - 7am but on our first night it wasn't locked, much to our pleasure, as we had a brief 10 minute walk home. The following two nights however it was locked much to our dismay as this resulted in a much much longer walk! Would be helpful for guests / residents to have a key to allow them to pass from one urbanizacion to the next without the long walk home.
It would be useful for people to have a car while staying at this apartment but it's not a deal breaker as taxis are plentiful in the Casares Costa area and relatively cheap if you wanted to get by without one.
This is a lovely part of Spain and one we visit often and if we ever need accommodation close to my parents again we'd certainly consider this apartment.
Exactly what it says on the tin, you will need a car.
The property is as stated. I travelled early June ( 3 people) and the balcony receives the sun from early morning to about midday and then the balcony is in shade for the rest of the day. This was ideal for me because it keeps the apartment very cool. I could sit out on the balcony in the evening in warm but not excessive heat. The balcony is a little tight for space and the furniture is not the most comfortable but sufficient. Overall the apartment is very cool and we only used the air conditioning twice during our stay and it performed absolutely excellently. There is a good selection of channels on the large tv and it also has a dvd player. I brought films on a usb stick but could not find a usb port on the tv. there are some dvds and books in the apartment. There is also wifi available and this works fine. The swimming pool is excellent with a small pool of 0.4m deep for toddlers and a large pool minimum depth of 1.5m. the first week of June the big pool was open until 5pm and the second week until 6pm. This pool is serviced with a life guard during these times but then he will lock the pool. I saw people using the pool much later but they would have had to get over a fence of about 1.2m. The small pool was open much longer but I don't know to what time. There is also loads of sun loungers available to everybody. The gardens around the complex are very beautiful and kept to a very high standard. The apartment also has an underground car park that will keep the car cool but there are two gates to drive through to get in but there is street car parking only a short walk from the apartment. I used this except for the last day when you need to repack the car for the airport using the lift from car park to the apartment. The nearest bar is the golf clubhouse which you can walk to, but is a bit of a walk. I went to the local port la Duquesa that has loads of bars and restaurants to service every taste. I would suggest that a car is absolutely necessary because the nearest supermarket is about 2-3km away. The apartment was clean and provided everything you need, loads of hot water. Door to washing machine need a bit of a shove to close the door but works fine. The instructions to the apartment from the airport are good but fail to mention you go through two tolls not just one which puzzled me a bit but it was ok . Tolls €7.50 and second €5. Bob and Suzzane are great. Overall very good value and would go again at the drop of a hat.

Apartment was lovely well equiped.very comfortable bed and Lots of entertainment. Tv, with plenty of English channels. Wifi and DVDs. Grounds to apartment are beautiful. Very well maintained. Communication with allan was excellent. Very quick response. And made our arrival very easy with directions from the airport and meeting with Bob and Suzanne simple.
Not as described
We stayed in this apartment whilst looking for permanent accommodation. Having lived in the area for some years we were aware of what this urbanization is and has to offer.
The apartment was presented in a clean condition and we found both the owner and key holders to be pleasant and helpful.
Casares Del Sol is in fact one of the cheaper developments on this part of the coast and the apartments cannot be described as luxury by any standards.
Upon arrival we found several of the facilities advertised were not available, there was no barbecue, no sunbeds, no freeview television channels and very surprisingly no microwave in the kitchen.
The second washroom has a shower which is very small and unsuitable for use by an adult in my opinion, it would however be fine for a child.
The wifi in the apartment was very good.
I suppose tchnically everywhere is within walking distance of the beach, in this case it is maybe 20 minutes away and across the other side of the main road accessed by a bridge.
The shops described in the advertisement are a petrol station convenience store, albeit a well stocked one, and a furniture store.
I would suggest due to location a car is almost essential.
Excellent apartment, furnished to a high standard
We arrived on a late flight and were met at the apartment by the key holder who was very helpful he showed us how everything worked and left us his number to contact him if we experienced any problems. The owner had organised a welcome pack which included bread, milk, eggs, meat, cheese and importantly beer. (There was a small charge for this) The apartment is furnished to a high standard and has everything we needed for a 2 week stay. There are lots to see and do in the area and the apartment is ideally located close to the beach, restaurants and shops. We visited the local Marina several times and dined in an excellent selection of restaurants.
The apartment is just as described and the owner was very helpful throughout the whole booking process, he even helped us organise car hire at a cheaper rate than I could find myself.

A beautifully furnished 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom ground floor apartment overlooking gardens with a shared swimming pool.
The apartment has everything you will need on holiday including a fully equipped kitchen with separate utility room, a spacious lounge/dining room with TV and a DVD/CD player. Fully air conditioned (both hot and cold to suit all seasons) with an east facing terrace.
The development is set in tropical landscaped gardens with a very large swimming pool and a separate kids pool, the apartment is close to a selection of excellent golf courses, the award winning clean sandy beach is only 800m away with its own beach bar/restaurant.
The apartment is situated in a quiet and relaxing location but is only a short 5 min drive from the small town of Sabinillas and the beautiful Puerto Duquesa Marina. Here you will find an excellent range of bars, restaurants and night life. The restaurants cater for all tastes.
