Chy An Dour is a family owned cottage in Polzeath, North Cornwall available for holiday lets for up to 8 people. It stands in its own level garden only 100 metres from Polzeath beach, along a quiet lane. It has a sheltered, sunny garden and is only a minutes walk from the village centre and the shops. The house is fully furnished, well equipped and has been carefully maintained over many years to provide a comfortable home with all necessary fittings. A detached 3-bedroom bungalow with off-street parking for 3-4 cars in safe, sunny and secluded gardens with SW facing terrace and lawn. There is also a timber summer house in the private garden with 2 beds, ideal for teenage children. Utilities: Electricity is via a £1 coin meter. Hot water is via electricity. Heating is available during winter months by oil central heating. An additional wood burning stove is available in the living room at any time, though wood is not provided. Linen and towels available at extra cost if required. Payment by Cheque or Bank Transfer accepted.

About the Owner

David and Charlotte purchased this bungalow in 1998, after renting it from the previous owners. We have modernised and updated the property to make it a comfortable and well-equipped holiday house.

All of our family love this house, and particularly appreciate it's close proximity to the beach and the village shops (both less than 2 minutes walk), it's sunny and sheltered garden, and its quiet and secluded position along a private road. There is a level lawn and ample parking for 3 to 4 cars.

We have many repeat visitors, some of whom have come for many years.

Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in Polzeath during the Easter holidays. Accommodation was clean and tidy with all necessary amenities as described in the property description. 5 minute walk to the fantastic beach and shops/restaurants makes this an ideal base for a family surfing/bodyboarding/beach holiday. We will definitely be back..

Polzeath boasts one of the finest blue flag beaches in England, both for family holidays and for surfing, which in holiday seasons is fully RNLI patrolled. The village is well catered for with local grocery shops, cafe's, restaurants, surf shops and pubs as well as supervised activities such as surf and kayak schools.

Daymer Bay is also one of the Southwest's premier windsurfing and kite surfing beaches and is about a mile's drive from the cottage.

Coast/Beach:
