A simple, tastefully furnished, 2 bedroom (1 double, 1 small double) terraced fisherman's cottage in the centre of Penzance. Fumbles Cottage is tucked away in a residential area but close to shops, restaurants, tea rooms and pubs. The harbour, promenade, railway station and bus station are all within a short walk. 1 off road parking space is available 50 yards away. All bed linen, towels and tea towels are provided (Please bring your own beach towels). Gas, electricity and wifi are included in the price.

After searching for more than five years I finally found my perfect home - a quaint old fisherman's cottage - Fumbles Cottage.

As commitments prevent my constant occupancy, I am able to offer the cottage as a base for relaxing and enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of the old market town, or touring and exploring this beautiful part of Cornwall.

Amazing stay!!!!

Brilliant fisherman's cottage with lots of attention to detail, could not fault at all, had everything you could need and more. Easy parking, near to loads of attractions and easy to get around, town and harbour are a 2 minute stroll. Wouldnt hesitate to book again or recommend. The owner was really helpful and has put alot of effort to making this cottage what it is. Felt modern and fresh while still feeling like a quaint fisherman's cottage.

From a Canadian perspective

I found Fumbles Cottage to be very clean, very comfortable and perfectly situated for someone like myself; travelling without a car. Only a block from the Main Street and a very handy pub, it was still quiet at night and close to several delightful cafes which meant if I chose not to prepare my meals in the well equipped kitchen, I could easily pick up something within a few minutes walk. The small binder of helpful information left on the coffee table was a thoughtful touch in case I had any questions regarding how appliances worked etc but Susie was very quick to respond to any emails I sent so I had no concerns in that regard. The close proximity of the cottage to both the train and bus stations meant I could easily explore the surrounding areas, without the use of a car. If I return to Penzance in the future, I will certainly stay at Fumbles Cottage again.

Comfortable, convenient base to explore Cornwall

Very comfortable cottage in a quiet location but within minutes of Penzance station and town centre. Excellently located to explore this part of Cornwall - lots of stunning gardens as well as the local art galleries, not to mention of course the spectacular coastline for walking etc. The cottage has been renovated to a very high standard and comfortably furnished, particularly the bedrooms. It's actually more spacious than the photos suggest and there's good cooking and dining space as well as the lounge itself. The bathroom is downstairs but it's large and modern. On our arrival all the rooms and their contents were immaculately clean. Booking was made easy by the friendly owners who provided very helpful arrival information etc and answered all our enquiries promptly. I would definitely recommend Fumbles Cottage to anyone wishing to explore the beauty of Cornwall - we had a car but I think this would be a good base to explore by public transport with the train and bus stations so close bye. There are plenty of useful food shops in the town (plus 3 big supermarkets 5 mins drive away!) and loads of lovely pubs and restaurants, if you want a break from the kitchen.

Lovely cottage!

Fumbles Cottage is a lovely cosy place to stay, well equipped with nice decorative features, so you feel at home right away and the private parking space just up the road was a great bonus. It was the perfect base for our stay, just off the main road in Penzance so nice and close to all the amenities. We'd definitely stay again!

Excellent Stay at Fumbles Cottage

Had a wonderful time at Fumbles.Photos of the Cottage were accurate and decor was very tastefully done.Liked it so much we have re-booked Fumbles again ! Ideally located for all public transport services (we have no car ) and the Cottage was situated in a quiet area.Two pubs within 50 yards of the Cottage (!) and shopping was easy as High Street was a couple of minutes walk away.Highly recommended.

Lovely Cottage

WOW! This cottage was perfect for our week long stay in Penzance. Location was excellent with parking close by. Beautifully decorated with comfy beds and was well equipped with everything we needed. Spotlessly clean. Central location so easy access to trains and buses. Communication with owner was excellent, would definitely recommend to family and friends.
