We have a new Bike Hire system in operation all over Vilamoura . for a small charge you can hire a bike for as long as suites you , there are many stops around Vilamoura where you can drop off or pick up another bike with your card . Available at Reception.

Coast/Beach:

The nearest Beach is Floresta which is 1 km

Travel:

Faro Airport is 20 mins by taxi .

There is no need to hire a car as everything is in walking distanceof the village and Taxis are relatively cheap.

Distances:

The Stunning Marina is a 10 min walk. With its shops , Bars and Restaurants to suit every taste.

Notes:
Outside: The whole of the Old village is paved so no cars allowed inside the village so very child friendly although there are numerous car parks within 2 mins of property.The gardens are stunning and very well maintained all year round. the 3 swimming pools are second to none and we are about to have a new childrens paly area . Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All Linens , towels with the exception to Beach Towels are included in the property. There is a linen and Towel change and maid service once per week. Daily cleaning can be arranged at a small extra charge. Other: Roof Terrace with seating , sun loungers and Barbecue. Perfect area to get away from it all !

Positives

- excellent central location within Old Village.

- spacious for our group of 4 adults and 2 children.

- excellent customer service throughout from owner (Alison)

- overall adequately equipped property

Areas for improvement

- a miss match of dated assorted crockery. Insufficient amount of drinking glasses.

- property could have been cleaned more thoroughly throughout prior to our arrival. There is weetabix (I think) stuck to the front first floor balcony.

- BEDDING. Main bedroom had king sized mattress on double frame which is dangerous when young children get on bed. Bed linen throughout is very old, stained and doesn't fit. Pillows were absolutely appalling. They were very stained, old and need replacing.

Owner's Response: Hi Sue, sorry to hear you had a couple of issues with the house . We do try to keep up to date with all aspects of the general upkeep . The office did mention you asked for new glasses and i did ask them to provide them immediately hopefully they were provided ,as for the cleaning and bedding i will have that looked at straight away . The Reception staff and cleaners are generally very good but i will bring up this matter with them ,thankyou for bringing it to my attention . Enjoy whats left of the summer . Kind Regards Alison

Lovely house with great amenities

Had a great time at this lovely Old village property. Was exactly as described and we were very comfortable. The owner answered my questions promptly and the reception was helpful and friendly. The facilities were great and the area very pleasant. A short walk to the lovely marina with lots of restaurants to choose from.

SO RELAXING!!

WE HAVE STAYED PREVIOUSLY IN THIS APARTMENT AND WERE DELIGHTED TO RETURN THIS YEAR. THE APARTMENT IS VERY SPACIOUS AND WELL MAINTAINED WITH THREE DOUBLE BEDROOMS, A HOUSE BATHROOM AND EN-SUITE. TWO BALCONIES AND A LOVELY ROOF TERRACE AND A COMFORTABLE LOUNGE/DINING ROOM PROVIDED AMPLE ROOM FOR FOUR ADULTS. AIR CONDITIONING THROUGHOUT IS VERY WELCOME IN THE HOT ALGARVE SUMMER. THE OLD VILLAGE HAS RESTAURANTS & BARS AND IS ONLY A 20 MINS OR SO WALK FROM THE MARINA.

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A QUIET RELAXING POOL HOLIDAY THIS IS A MUST AND AT A VERY REASONABLE PRICE.

ALISON WAS GREAT TO DEAL WITH AND ANSWERED ALL QUERIES VERY PROMPTLY INDEED INCLUDING AN EXCELLENT RECOMMENDATION TO USE YELLOWFISH FOR AIRPORT TRANSFERS.

Excellent Accommodation

We booked this property for our first sun holiday away with our four children aged between 6-10years. It was a superb choice. The property is perfect for a family of six. I loved the homely touches like games for the kids and books and full tv stations for downtime.

The property was very clean & well maintained. Alison was lovely to deal with.

The property is ideally located one step back from the pool and cafes & bars, close but not too close. Nice and quiet at night.
